Gungnir was Odin's spear, seems fitting for a long range fire support mech. This one packs a good punch and the LRM quirks combined with a LRM15 cooldown module you're in for some real bombarding. It is a bit lighter on the LRM launchers than many other 1S builds but given the ghost heat it makes for a more manageable heat when combining with a bit of lasering. The mech is reasonably nippy for being an 85t assault mech which means you can both manoeuvre yourself into ideal firing positions but also when the enemy closes in you can take a good beating and dish out a lot of damage with the lasers. Heat efficiency is low but you'd rarely end up shooting everything at once anyway. On all the normal temp maps you can fire LRMs endlessly without overheating, on tourmaline you can do at least 15 salvoes before temps get unmanageable. Dropping some ammo or AMS would be an option if you want artemis but it does pretty well even without it. Here is my fourth outing in the mech after re-speccing it with fewer LRM launchers from the usual four Despite loosing I did nearly 1k damage with two kills after getting cornered
Looks good. It' basically a bigger Catapult C1. Heat efficieny will go up if using a TAG (and you should!). Artemis will improve the performance when LRMing, and lots of people will have it alread installed on the 1S anyway. Double LPLas looks like a nasty backup. Will have to try this in the evening.
