Every team needs an ECM, a scout ECM all the better. However, what's the point of just wasting a mech's potential purely for the purpose of ECM? Introducing the Riffraff. Inspired by the speedy Jenner's hit-and-run tactics, this Cicada can pull off much the same thing. In fact, the Cicada pulls it all off with a mere difference of 8kph, 2 firepower, and 6% cooling efficiency. It takes a bit of a hit in DPS by 1 whole unit, but really, you shouldn't be out there using your DPS to its full potential anyways. Out of all the ECM-able 'Mechs, this build has the most firepower (excluding the Atlas of course) and still retains that high speed we all crave. The lack of jump jets is an obvious hit, but if you're like me you wouldn't have been using them a whole bunch anyways. Also, the large lasers afford you a bit more range, allowing you to harass the enemy much easier. You can always remove one MLas in lieu of a TAG. Pros and Cons in relation to the Jenner-F with 6x MLas Pros: -ECM -Very similar stats -Longer range -No need for arm armor Cons: -No arms -Less DPS -Larger -No jump jets As always, feedback is appreciated
Tweaked build. Been running this for a few weeks now. Lower alpha, but higher sustained DPS. The stock engine works out with the added DHS spot for a higher cooling efficiency. Also, max armor is always a plus, especially since it is a bigger target than it's lighter counterparts. The Cicada is a mutt, better armored than lights and can mostly keep up with them, but weaker than the other mediums in sense of armor and weapon capabilities.
[SMURFY]http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=36&l=414bef0af33d11eab71dde9b3fd00e96b87eecd0[/SMURFY] Let's go faster! This is how I run it, stole the Build from Garth, but it's just awesome
About 18 matches so far, average damage is just over 600. Max damage I managed was on TT of all places, around 1180.
Been running this mod of the build in my 3M lately...loses some DPS thanks to the TAG, but it's been a monster mech with so many people still running LRMs. Combined with the improved UAV I keep in it at all times, I'm averaging about 500-600 bonus exp every match just from marking assists...gotta love it.
