Looked around, tried the search function, but still didn't come up with results. I'd like to see if anyone has a comprehensible guide to the pros/cons of the Clan UAC and the Clan LB-X Weapon Systems. I find myself juggling between the two, sometimes preferring one over the other, yet am unsure what other weapons compliment which Auto Cannon best. So far I've found that the UAC's have a suppression fire status, and a higher player skill level to be used to their fullest. With them firing in bursts, I can see the cockpit shake being a problem for the target, but it also means that one may ultimately put a bit less damage down field due to spread dmg or near misses. The LB-X variants? Shoot, they're shotguns! They have a compressed blast of shrapnel that gets pelted into your target.! However, they sacrifice a great deal of accuracy at range compared to their UAC counterparts. Is their crit chance a valid pro to take these over the UAC? So please, voice your opinions, and feel free to share any charts or statistical data regarding this query.
The LBs are larger and heavier, but cause better crit chances and don't require you to hold a target. For my buck, I use LBs with SRMs and Ultras with lasers. That's more a matter of convenience than efficacy. I haven't seen a comparative analysis either.
Going to agree with Auriga and keep this in mind when planning my builds for the time being. Thank you for the replies guys! Now I just hope someone comes in here with that pesky analysis, lol.
