Just read the following in the release notes for the upcoming patch: Gameplay Fixes and Changes • Clan Ultra AC/10: Fixed an issue where firing 4 UAC/10s simultaneously would not incur the intended heat scale penalty. What is the implication of the fix? Quad UAC10 builds running hotter?
People who alpha them will get a hotter experience. When you fire them 2 by 2, which most people do anyway, there shouldn't be very much difference.
So, is Ghost Heat for 4x cUAC10 getting retuned or was this a coding mistake that has been in the game for 2+ years and now is finally getting fixed to implement the ghost heat indicated on Smurfy? 12% increase, if there was no ghost heat before. Cool. (pun intended)
Personally I had a feeling they might nerf the UAC10 a bit to reign in the KDK-3s that have been running amok. I'm hoping that it doesn't make too much difference as I use it on my bear and one of my direwolf variants (and I like it a lot).
• Clan Ultra AC/10: Fixed an issue where firing 4 UAC/10s simultaneously would not incur the intended heat scale penalty. Translated, totally rework the heatscale. cUAC10 : cUA20 3.00 6.00 : 7.00 17.10 33.60 : 30.80 56.85 86.85 : 75.60 125.85 178.35 : 145.60 248.85 341.85 : 247.10 479.85 707.85 : 380.10 So, for 8 more tons and two ballistic hard points, you get penalized by a lot more? I think I am going to try and get a refund for Night Gyr. Thank you Smurfy. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/equipment#weapon_heatscale
Apparently it is not supposed to, but currently it is bugged. Probably has been bugged for a while (2 years?), but the ghost heat was so low on 10's that it usually wasn't noticed. Exception being Solahma's 5xUAC10.
My hunchback IIC with dual UAC10 's I'm levelling runs rather hot now as soon as I double tap..... was too terrified to unleash my full firepower much ...
Haven't noticed it with UAC5s, so i suppose it was cUAC10 exclusive. Since practically no one used cUAC10s until the KDK-3... probably since its implementation.
besides that, ghost heat for UAC10s didn't exist before 19-7 patch, so even if it triggered it, it would have no effect
