SO! I was looking for a faster missile boat to bring some rain and have some fun. I came up with a jack-of-all LRM20 boat that still has Energy and SRMs for backup. It turned out to be quite fun. I think Artemis is required for LRMs and have not seen it included in any of the Cent Long Range builds. However, at 94KPH, you can keep your distance and reposition easily to keep that rain coming with tightly clustered Artemis guidance. Otherwise, a fairly standard SRM/MLas Cent combo that we all know and love. You are running an XL, however, due to the hit boxes on these mechs, torso twisting easily spreads out the damage and I feel an XL is very safe choice to maintain ammo and speed. Pros: Dual LRM10 w/ Artemis for quick firing rate and tight groupings Very quick Long Range platform Very good close range defense Good ol' Centurion survivability! Cons: Low Salvo count (Only 20LRMs instead of the 50 possible on larger/slower mechs) Mostly Ammo based High risk of Ammo explosion XL Engine (Although, still more survivable than most) If you like the LURMs, give her a spin. I didn't take any shots yesterday as I was playing, I'll get some tomorrow night. I was averaging about 400-600 points of damage per round and 1-3 kills. My top damage was in the 650s after about 10 drops yesterday. However, I was usually ending with plenty of SRM ammo and about 100 LRM rounds, so, I might play around with dropping a ton of each ammo for a max engine and another heat sink... As I said, I'll get online tomorrow night and get some shots up.
How I'll be running tonight - Added BAP for lock-time and threw in the max engine. I removed one ton of SRM ammo, dropped from an SRM6 to an SRM4 and dropped 16p armor. Pictures tonight and possibly some in-game footage by the end of the week. Chatt.
