I have tried nearly every build imaginable for the A1, from splat-cat to streak-cat to 6x LRM5s which is giggle worthy but not much more than a nuisance. I've tried dual LRM-20s+A, Quad LRM-10s but this is the first build where I felt I was running a dangerous LRM boat. This is the first LRM build on the Catapult where I have gotten over 850 damage in a match. When I run out of LRM ammo I go into YOLO mode and get surprising kills on beat up mechs using the 2 SSRMs. Just having the SSRMs can discourage some more timid lights.

If you feel comfortable having no C.A.S.E and losing a tiny bit of armor to the legs(probably safe considering you aren't on the front line so should be limiting your exposure to fire) you can fit either another ton of Ammo or a JJ. Or lose the BAP (not recommended) keep the C.A.S.E put another ton of ammo and a JJ for popping out from behind friendlies or small obstructions.

That's a build which is very similar to what I run. Although I haven't tried 3xLRM15s yet, I do plan on checking it out.

What I run is 2xLRM15 and 4xSSRM2. I tried running "only" 2xSSRM2s and that wasn't enough punch for when the mediums/lights come knocking. 2xLRM15s seems to fit into a decent zone where there is good damage for the payload, but it is only 30 LRMS. Either way, I have a lot of fun with it.

I don't run Artemis IV though; I do agree that BAP is absolutely necessary. So many ECM builds in pugs these days it's extremely difficult to get good boating matches.

    Here's my current build:

There's room for Artemis IV, more ammo (not that you'd need it but it's there), more leg armor (I notice I don't get legged much), more JJs or even more SSRM2s if you'd like; not all of those at once, though. Really the last few tons are left for experimentation for what you feel like I guess.

One thing I have found out is since I last played my Catapult LRM boat, they have broken it or Smurfy is no longer accurate.

The left side hard points appear correct 3x 15 slot missile bays but the right side now appears to only be 10 slot which makes your LRM 15s reload out of sink instead of 15x3 volley it is 15x2 10x1 5x1...very annoying.

I brought it down to 2 LRM 15s to check it and right or left both fire properly. It is only when you add that 3rd...very strange.

I switched the 3rd LRM15 from the right to the left side and it once again fires a 10x1+5x1...sigh better update Smurfy.

    Looks like its 2x 15 and 4x 10

    Well, then how bout that?

Dropping 1 LRM15 down to a LRM10 fits hardpoints and makes room for another SSRM and a JJ (yay!).

You´re not losing too much indirect firepower (5,5) , gain 50% DMG-boost within shortrange and you can jump. Not that bad i think.

Switched 1t of LRM-ammo to SSRM-ammo. Is now 27 full LRM-volleys. Could be more, but is okay if you´re not that nervous with launching missiles at fragile locks.

Hope you like it! I would even try it myself
