If you were unlucky enough to drop with me earlier this week, you would have seen me stomping around in this monstrosity: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=118&l=c647eb177afc574ba1bfcfc04261ee39b770361d
2 builds I am planning to do once I am in the mood to get the SDR-5K again: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=53&l=86ef88ac3523035aff4b54d270cfaa14001fe496 http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=53&l=7b5564d9339cc9d1e1a3273ba5ce856330fbe6d5
So much weaksauce in this thread. Here is a mech that I run occasionally. I bought a second K2 dedicated to just this build. I present to you.... WET NOODLE. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=19&l=1c1e8ebcb9e10fa2a6ded75c016889211d321475 All fear the pinpoint alpha! Thread closed.
Just ran into this dude: I cut right through his open right torso, and believe it or not but he was riding a standard engine http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=67&l=3276992759e3e23d26988710739047bd9fff1521 (reverse engineering attempt)
LRM70 in a STK-5M with Quad.SLas!!! but rather Streams than One Big Volley. Besides it ran sooo hot, that he OH constantly. recreated with smurfy: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=46&l=92aeaa7ea51899c08e2b9694c444076b178d9575
LRM40+A in an ON1-VA, no backupweapons, but TAG: recreated with smurfy: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=101&l=4f3d47b67a4136dd1b1a43ce1941463e3a44d264
I went through this thread again this morning and just basically shook my head. I get it, there are a ton of crap mech builds out there but one mans crap is another mans treasure.
I thought that this thread was to take min/maxed builds to their ridiculous extremes, but recently it turned into the Cringeworthy Build thread.
Why build a LRM70 with you can build a LRM75 with the same tonnage? http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=46&l=00279bc7ac0fec27b9083d40ac7f51057d824f49 I don't mind pure LRM boats cause min/max is a great thing, but at least do it on something like a catapult, as one MLas is not going to do much anyways. Technically i is reasonable on an Orion also, and you can get some backup.
http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=14&l=aecc7d71194c4aac3c3fbb463dd994dcccf34c12 Hehe back to the topic of crazy mech builds, take a look at this! I almost want to buy an awesome just to watch the heat climb like crazy lol.
Not as hot as this! http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=115&l=1f91c7da967b2f2d5ecbe75b04960303958f81db
That build is interesting. Makes me wonder what the lowest smurfy cooling efficiency possible is. Let's min/max in the wrong direction, Changing your build to SHS drops it to 4%. Ignoring ghost heat, the highest heat weapons are: ER PPC: 5h/slot, 2.143h/ton, 15h/hardpoint ER LLa: 4.25h/slot, 1.7h/ton, 8.5h/hardpoint MPlas: 5h/slot, 2.5h/ton, 5h/hardpoint So some combination of those three weapons, based on tonnage, slots, and hardpoints. I think this: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=118&l=5ab534109e2b3d49f073c2476902237f8ce06d92 is probably the worst, at 3%. 2 tons free, but no hardpoints left for weapons.
Your alpha is a little low. If you switch to a STD engine, you can fill up that last missile hardpoint. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=118&l=ff44e1178b88024d121c33c2acf9ec377b7d81d3
That wouldn't increase the heat. The sole point is to make it as hot as possible, so while 2 tons could be put to armor that decreases the clarity. It's easier for people trying to improve it to see how much tonnage is left this way.
There was a time when i thougth my sigth blocker lolcust was crazy, but http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=107&l=58061054b45797853ece660a31e3dc06c99c3945 this one can't compete with your mad mechs Awesome builds guys!
I heard someone mumbling about protecting arms... http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=131&l=11bfd3650bf322901ffc58fe7fbd6cfb5c6f37c9
