This is a build I've come to greatly enjoy on my ECM Cataphract, after having tried all the popular ones. While I really like playing it, and have posted some impressive results with it, it isn't without it's pro's and con's. Pro's: 1. Very tanky for a broad IS Heavy. Still surprises me with how much damage this mech can take with proper twisting and even just face tanking. 2. Weapon systems are able to hit at every phase of combat. 3. ECM protects you and your allies against a myriad of threats and allows you to snipe from range with relative impunity with the Gauss. 4. Heat management is very easy with a long range, zero heat, high damage weapon. Con's 1. Slow for most Cataphract builds. A couple lights that catch you alone can and will give you problems if you allow it to happen. 2. Weapon systems while being varied, are not cohesive. You will always be out of optimal of all of them most of the time. 3. Most of your damage is on the right side. This can be either a pro if your good at twisting, but definitely a con if they get a Gauss critical and you lose 3/4's of your damage. 4. The usual problems of Cataphract builds, low slung arms requiring face tanking to usually be a thing during the first opening skirmishes. Overall I mitigate the cons through play style, namely by being second fiddle to one of my teams slower assaults or heavy laden brawler heavies. Using ECM and usually poking the right side, or providing second line fire, the 2x LLas plus the Gauss is actually incredibly heat efficient, and the 33% efficiency is deceptive. You will be rarely alpha'ing with this build, though when you do, 45~ damage to a CT is nothing to snuff at and will usually send most things back where they came from, if not kill them outright later in the match. I also put the 2 LLas in the right arm simply because I'm a bit of a lore nut in most games, and I think it looks "right" to have two powerful lasers in the bulked up arm, and two short range repeating lasers in the left smaller housings.
