This build is what I run. Very similar to the original build in this thread, but I swapped 1 ton of AC/20 ammo for an additional DHS and have my front armour beefed up a little more.

I actually prefer this over the KC/20 because it performs better in a long battle, and it's still deadly if it runs out of ammo.

For the financially conscious - if you drop the engine to a Standard 255 (reduces speed by 10kph before tweak), you can add a tonne more armour, a tonne more AC20 ammo and another DHS. You don't need Endo Steel. For new players - people just starting out - this is a cracking build. My highest K/D in it of all my 'Mechs.

Shymer, the STD 255 is an odd duck engine. No 'mech comes with it installed. Starting from scratch, it'd be less expensive to put DHS and Endo into the 'mech and keep the stock engine than it would be to buy a whole new engine.

Even with silly indulgences like CASE and AMS, this build still comes in half a mil cheaper than yours.

5 Stars. Though I'm not running exactly the same, this has quickly become one of my favourite builds. Brought the 1X back from the brink of being sold to probably gonna keep this forever.

Re-doing all my phract loadouts since these were my first mechs I got when I started playing over a year ago and haven't changed them in all that time. Went from 4LL to this build and I have to say I like it. Tough to get within 300m on some of these maps now, but definitely a fun build.

So I was toying around with 'Phract builds all day and trying to find something that didn't feel cumbersome in the 1X. Came here to post it only to find that someone else had done it more than a year ago!

Regardless, this is a beast. Played three games before the server went down and across those games scored 15 kills.

You obviously need to be careful at range, but if you can stick to an assault and bide your time for a dash onto the enemy flank you can rip them apart like wet tissue paper.

Last game saw me charge the enemy base on River City while everyone just took potshots across the river, taking out 2 Cats, a Griffin, and a pair of Spiders.

I always loved my HBK-4G, and this feels like its far bigger brother. It's brilliant.

As far as I'm concerned, this ia the only build for the ctf1x.

I just started running this build today. As long as I'm in a cool map or not on the verge of over heating I like to group the Mlas in the arms together and the ones in the torso together.

    5/5,
Still one of my favorites. It's simple usage and nasty. Definitely boost the Range and Cooldowns with Modules!

    5/5,
my favorite loudout for this Phract. Really nasty in city-fights and a really scary brawler. 5 stars :)

    5/5,
    Build: https://mwo.nav-alpha.com/mechlab?b=f8143ea8_CTF-1X
Standard brawler option sums this up. Performs well, boosted by quirks. Personally lowered rating for equipments:TC, BAP and AMS.
    Highest damage played: 830
