My final CTF-3D build. This mech is a true killer ! CTF-3D [ + ]: - long range killer = 40 dmg in alpha strike (range around 700 m) - no heat problems, even in hot maps [-]: (for me they are not a big deal) - XL 230 = mech is slower but still not as slow as assault mechs - 40 gauss ammo = 20 shots (for me it is enough for a map) - no JJ (but with the shake for me JJ are not so much in use like they were) Additional changes: - remove AMS (0,5 t) + ams ammo (1t) + lower leg armor (0,5 t) = 2 t for -> 2 Gauss ammo / 2 MedLasers for close fights / 2 JJs -> Or a mix of some. With this mech I think I got with the limits of CTF-3D. Not all will like it but it suits my style of play. When you will get those component destructions and kills comming you will love it ! I saw someone piloting this thing or something like it yesterday. They did over 900 damage and got 4 kills, which was pretty impressive. I was trying to figure out how they did it, and this was my best guess (they obviously had a fair amount of ammo and at least one JJ): But lo and behold, there was a version posted on MechSpecs already! Despite the impressive performance, I will say that when they died, they died spectacularly. The gauss in the arm went, which chained into the side torso and the second gauss... and well, you can guess the rest with an XL. The whole process took a couple of seconds - was pretty funny to watch from the cockpit. So I guess this build has potential to kill, but also to be a deathtrap when those gausses go!
