Yes, the gauss will blow out almost every match and often take one of your arms with it. Yes, you should still carry it to prep their armor for your shotguns.

The Prime torso is for boosted twist speed. It will help you torso twist and guard your squishy gauss torso between reloads when you're in the first phases of alpha-ing to tear someone down. Once you drop their armor and are going for the killshot, you can split up all your weapon groups and aim carefully, staggering the shotguns and gauss until your CT mounted PPC (zero convergence issues at chestbumping range is a beautiful thing) vaporizes all three of their torsos in one fell swoop.

Pretty sick video and a really great idea, though in the video you've exchanged 1 ton of LBX20 ammo for gauss, and that proved to be barely enough for the match (and still dealt a scary amount of damage!)

But yeah, I'd probably swap around the ammo values a bit (maybe half a t of gauss, half a ton of LBX20, there are enough slots and it gives you extra full LBX40 shots.), for the rest, 5 stars for this awesome loadout that isn't a bloody UAC boat :D

You're absolutely right on the ammo, good catch. I built it incorrectly in smurfy (fixed now)

    You should really see my UAC spamming build... it's got a UAC20, 2 10s, a 5, and a 2 :)

This build does seem to draw a lot of hate though, and not just of the focus fire kind... it's fun to be a :phear: as a giant orange daishi.

Love the build! The only issue I have is it seems a little ammo light. Still, pretty awesome! Wish I still had my B chassis now.

i seriously have to try this o_O

maybe remove dhs for more ammo?

2-3 alphas are enough to kill pretty much anything so you can go hide and cooldown

    edit:
or remove MLas and take B arms and add 1 ton of each ammo
prime arms give bad energy cooldowns

    edit2:
other way would be to take small lasers instead of meds and add a ton of ammo

    edit3:
    3 rounds, averaged 750 (1st 780 on HPG win, 2nd 500 forest colony defeat, 3rd alpine peaks 1k)

    yep, it rocks 5/5:

Was running three copies of this build last night with Solahma and Roulous to hilariously lethal effect. Video is uploading now.

For those of you wondering how to time the gauss+PPC without a macro, I have the gauss mapped to spacebar and the PPC mapped to a mouse thumb button. Keeps me from throwing my aim when I'm taking potshots at people far downrange.

    EDIT: Video-

soooo much shotgun. Really fun build. I dropped the 2 cERML in favor of another ton of LBX20 and Gauss.

Built this for my DWF-B, enjoying it thus far, but I'm still getting used to the weapon groups, so I've been misfiring ;) Also had one teammate eat an alpha when they turned a corner and saved an enemy (who was laughing so hard he couldn't see to move away and avoid my next alpha ;) ), but it's fun. Worst map (for me) thus far has been HPG Manifold, ended up with a pansy team against a LRM/Sniper team that just tore us apart since we wouldn't push ><

That said, I still average 500 damage minimum most games with this thing, so it's nasty.

Is worry about that Gauss so I am going to try this variant. Less violent, but still viable at long range, for short range the difference is acceptable also.
