Alt. Config. C The C configuration is configured to be highly mobile and flexible. The Dire Wolf C can jump up to ninety meters. The primary weapons carried are a pair of ER PPCs. These are supported by two new ATM 6 launchers which are capable of firing missiles that are intended for short, intermediate, and long ranges. The C configuration also carries four Medium Pulse Lasers and a single shot Streak SRM-4 launcher. The direct fire weapons are all linked to a Targeting Computer, increasing their lethality, and the C configuration is protected from enemy electronic warfare equipment with an ECM Suite. I think this is one of the prime candidates for PGI's new variants. ECM should help with Dire Whales fragility and mobility issues. It also will probably come with a 2 ton JJ tax for the CT. So 7 tons of locked equipment. 8xAC2/LBX2 build is starved for tonnage and really can't give up three tons to get ECM without being seriously short on ammo. I could see it being added to 2xUAC10s and 3xUAC5s or to Gauss/Laser Vomit builds. I believe it comes with missile hard points for the arms. So you could possibly do a more brawly build (might not work out well) or a very slow ATM42 (12,12,9,9) build (might really not work out well). Pretend there is an ATM12 in each arm. _ Anyway, ECM might be an answer to getting the DWF on the battlefield more often and not only with the UV hero pods for the 8x2s build. And we could finally reach levels of exceptional quality with the LRM80 DWF or may be more if we also get the X variant (head missile hard point). _
_ Side torso armor, 5% heat quirk, ecm, and a jump jet. This looks very solid for the new DWF go to build. With a lot of armor stripping, you can get a lot more speed for a small amount of dps loss with BAS dakka. _ Typical 8xAC2/LBX2/UAC2 build minus three tons. _ I will trade out a DHS and some armor/ammo for ECM and one jump jet. _ THIS BUILD HAS ACHIEVED A LEVEL OF EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY. _ All six ERLL right in the center of the mech looks good. Might be best saved for invasion or alpine. _ The ammo shortage is real. Probably need to stick to KDK3 to have room for ammo and backup weapons. _ _ Short range ambusher. BAS probably does this better.
_ Thankfully the DWFs can only have 11 tons of locked equipment, unlike the 17 locked tons (and 380 engine) for the Executioner.
