    EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
Welcome to the Second Battle of Tukayyid, MechWarriors.

To participate in the Second Battle of Tukayyid, you or your Unit must sign a Contract with the Clan or Inner Sphere Faction of your choice.

When this battle comes to an end, the Faction Play map will fully reset and remain in ceasefire mode until our Steam launch on Thursday morning.

During this battle, Inner Sphere Drop Deck tonnage limits are set at 240 tons to test the latest balance changes in Clan vs. IS engagements.

Clan Goal: Attack the Inner Sphere defenses on Tukayyid, and hold claim over at least 51% of the 63 Zones on Tukayyid by the end of the Event.

Inner Sphere Goal: Defend Tukayyid from the Clan invaders, and hold claim over at least 51% of the 63 Zones on Tukayyid by the end of the Event.

These will be hard-fought battles, and we have plenty of prizes for you to earn.

Both the Invasion and Counter-Attack game modes qualify for the Personal Challenge Rewards.

    Important Main Event Reward Information
    • Players must have earned a total cumulative Match Score of at least 500 in order to qualify for receiving any of the above Main Event Banners.
    • Players can potentially earn multiple Banners if eligibility requirements are met.
    Personal Challenge Rewards
The Personal Challenge Match Score is now cumulative! Your Match Score will contribute to a running tally, so achieving an individual Match Score of 100 in one match and an individual Match Score of 200 in a second match will leave you with a total Personal Challenge Match Score of 300. This also means that you if you hit a Match Score of 500 in a single match, you immediately qualify for the first two reward tiers! The total value of your Personal Challenge Match Scores will reward you with items specific to your alignment, whether Inner Sphere or Clan.

Changing sides mid-event will carry over your current Personal Challenge Match Score, but you will not receive retroactive rewards from your new allegiance. You will only receive new rewards according to your new allegiance.

For example: After earning a cumulative total of 500 Match Score under Inner Sphere allegiance (and receiving the associated Inner Sphere Reward Items), a Player then switches their allegiance to Clans after their Contract expires. They will still have 500 Match Score, but they will not receive the 500 Match Score tier Rewards for Clans. They will simply progress along the Clan Reward table from their existing amount of Total Match Score.

You can track your progress in the Personal Challenge portion of the Tukayyid Event here.

Fun event actually. It only took 9 matches to get the full reward once they changed it away from 40 match points to 4000 cumulative match score. A lot of easy rewards, especially with so many other PUG players:

I enjoyed the event, mainly when it was PUG v PUG. But groups v PUG were not so fun, in one case the smack talk at the end of the game disappointed me, but I guess there are always some immature people in every team.

The annoying thing for me is the scoring system, damage is king of the scores and so is not dying. So it is much easier for defence teams to do well, and it doesn't encourage offense teams to actually go for the objectives because you do get not match score points for killing turrets, gens or Omega. If you win the game via the objectives you end up with a pretty bad score, but the dude camping up in the hills with 3xERLL and just racking up damage gets 1000. I think that needs to be changed.
