https://mwomercs.com/news/2015/04/1185-battle-tukayyid-full-event-details Spoiler So, the best performing units can get specialized rewards, but there are individual perks and rewards as well. 40 points gets you a free Banshee or Warhawk, which I'll definitely be working for, though I'm not sure which I'd actually want...I don't have either chassis, and it would be a good excuse to change that. Overall, looks fun, I just hope I'll have the time to actually play it. Weird start time though...must be when the cease fire is coming on Friday.
Bleeeeeech. I will gun for what I can, but holy cow that's a lot of CW matches in a very short time. Life + work is just not going to allow for that. Chalk up one more challenge on the 'not stressing it' list.
Yeah. 40 or even 50 points in a mere 3 days is quite a lot. Add to this the event starts at 11pm CET so most European players won't be able to use the friday evening for playing... whoa.
Jep, those event times are a real pain in the A$$ for european players. But on monday we can play until 10:45 pm CET 40 or even 50 points are going to be hard to get. 80 matchpoints aren`t a real problem, but ~14 to 18 CW matches per day (all qualifying) mean goodbye to real life... [50 Matches per 30minutes mean 25 fine hours of CW, ~8,5 hour per day, NOPE]
Yeh, I shall be partaking in the battle for turkeylurkey. But I will not be stressing out, as much as I would love either free mech I just won't have the time.
Well, I am nearly rank 12 with FRR now while holding r6 at both Kurita and Wolf and r4 both with Davion and Steiner, so I can easily say I like that game mode... 40 qualifying games are the goal, but this requires some planning ahead. No PUGing this weekend for sure (not even testing any new hero mech short of bringing it directly to CW), organising family and all the stuff around the house... challenge accepted.
If you will get games almost instantaneously (and with this event this will be the case) and you will be stomping peeps with a 12 man you can have around 3 games per hour, so if you are from EU and you take Monday off, you only need 6 hours of game play a day, doable. My wife will hate me, and she already thought that i'm over MWO as i was not playing it since Easter.
44 drops (including 10% fail rate) at 30 minutes per game = 22 hours of playing over the course of a fully booked weekend,... Anyone know any good relationship counsilors?
5 Event Points: Battle of Tukayyid Participant Banner Will get this at least. Maybe go for the 40 point if I am lucky.
Yeah. This means I will easily get my 50 points without getting divorced or kids & dogs dying of starvation.
Only got 2 drops in so far (damn work and sleep), but the matches were instant. Good times Had this round just now: Me gusta Doubled the damage of my entire team, but they stole all my kills. I only got 3 solo kills, but 13 most damage dealt. Mwahahaha!
We had that 'lobby was destroyed' bug 5 seconds before the drop was about to start.. after 21:50 waiting time. Sucks.
Holy crap, the IS queue is maddening. What's the point of showing you where you are in the queue if it keeps resetting you every two minutes when someone on your team inevitably drops out? Why the heck doesn't it wait until needed before creating the team? What a shitshow this has been. At this rate I may be able to get the Participated Banner as I'll only have the patience for one drop per day.
If anyone is part of a unit and you decide you want to switch sides, they are offering free switches to clan side to try and even up the queue numbers a bit. You have to email support to make it happen though: http://mwomercs.com/news/2015/04/1186-calling-all-inner-sphere-unit-leaders-solo-players
Yeah been a pathetic fiasco so far.... Who would have guessed when they changed the system to help the clan side this would happen.... hey ok yeah I told them that as did others........
lol. I just had the queue reset thing happen after 10 minutes and making up to number 5 to deploy.. that's really frustrating. Especially since this is actually my first time dropping CW -edit- oh look, it just happened again.
