Thank god they are getting rid of those stupid statues on river city. Now make some of the environment destructible, nothing worse than 4 large lasers not being able to cut through a rotting tree trunk in the bog.

10 out of ~45 listed mechs quirk-changed enough that I'm changing builds on them. Not too bad, but I read somewhere that Russ said this is only about 1/3 of the IS changes planned. So, 20 more after these. Plus the Lynx, Nova, Summoner quirks coming tomorrow as well that are, as yet, unknown.
If you browse through the Reddit comments, you'll see that Sean Lang (Insider Man) gives some hints on what'll be changed after the holidays. For example: Highlanders, Locusts, and Orions.

King Crab KGC-000 has 6 B hardpoints in the ARMS ! Will a 4x AC5 2x AC2 build possible ? With IS ballistict it would totally outclass the direwolf. Jenner FTW (even tho my new K gets a nerf on heat gen. and it's already very hot), but I still won't get the Jenner D back as it's redundant with the F and Oxide, I prefer going pure and the quirks are meh, the K still makes a better narcer then the D now as well. ! Dragon 1N doesn't change on the dakka side, surprised PS: nova quirks ! the poor guy gets some love EDIT : FUCK IT, -30% heat gen of MPL on firestarter with 6 energy, and my K gets a nerf? Why all this firestarters love?
Will give some thoughts later but some of those are very clever - e.g. the DRG-1N nerf leaves the AC5 untouched but the ERLL loses 10% cooldown and 25% duration. Thats a BIG hit on the support side as its no longer very effective as an opening weapon or after you've run out of ammo. If you're running ML's then you get a 2.5% cooldown/range bonus but lose 12.5% duration. They added a totally redundant missile bonus to pretend it hadn't been nerfed..... why would we add a missile launcher and ammo as a support weapon on an AC5 beast?

FS9-S radically changed from 15% ERLL cooldown/duration to 30% heat gen on MPL. FS9-A heat will be worse as SPL down from 15 to 10%. Ember gets minor quirks (-7.5% duration on laser and +7.5% range on ballistics). NB: Hitbox changes on FS9's as well....
Jenners mostly slight tweaks but the JR7-K lost 5% heat gen bonus for its MPL.... JR7-F gained energy weapon range +7.5%. JR7-D changed to missile cooldown -7.5%.
SDR and FS9 hit box changes are the big deal here. Builds can be adjusted according to the quirks. Hit boxes... not so much. They didn't state it'll be a nerf, but probably will be one. OTH even that should be OK (if not overdone) considering other light mechs are partially gimped by this as well (see: JR7s' CT).
Vindicators look like clones as their bonuses were heavily revamped. All gained structure improvements. I liked the 1AA already so not going to complain about its changes - a whopping increase to 40% PPC velocity, a rather weird new missile weapon 12.5% cooldown bonus and retained its 20% PPC heat gen. The 1R is identical to the 1AA above except on top it changes the generic energy cooldown bonus to 20% ML (10% generic). The 1X is very different to the original - adds structure, and a 15% ballistic cooldown/range bonus on top of everything it had before. St Ives Blue adds laser Duration -20% and structure improvements.
Except they hit the quad MPL Jenner as well as its heat is delicate already unless you lose armour/engine for heatsinks. It gets worse.
CN9-A radically changed to an AC10 with SRM and laser support - AC10 20% cooldown and velocity, 12.5% laser duration and 12.5% missile cooldown. Huge improvement IMO. CN9-AL changed from a LPL to LL boat. LL cooldown/duration/heat gen bonuses. Note the lack of a range bonus. Retains its 12.5% missile cooldown bonus. Interesting. CN9-D mostly unchanged but the SRM4 10/20% range became a generic 12.5% cooldown. Nice. CN9-AH changed its missile bonuses from 20 (10%) cooldown/range to 12.5% generic.
