I have totally equipped a Dragon for my drop deck this weekend....

 

This event began like the last one Ended. The first 14 matches only brought 3 Points. But now, it is done!

Anyway... painful....

48 battles with 27 wins of which 25 qualified. Over those 48 battles I killed 109 mechs, died 27 times and apparently got 209 assists.

On the good side I earned just over 15m c-bills aka over 312,500 c-bills per match on average.

Free mech bay, Raven 3L and 3 days premium doesn't hurt either but I feel as if clan mechs are back in vogue. Probably only say 2 TDR-9S's all weekend.

I made it to a massive seven points but I'm just too tired from the conference weekend. Give me a second try, PGI!

 

srsly they need to either lower the requirement points, or lengthen the time by a day or so.

 

Up to 27 points, so I got my free mech now...I really want the camo, but I doubt I have that kind of energy Not to mention luck...

UPDATE:The hot-fix is out, and includes a server fix for the connection issues that were occurring this morning.

The server fix requires that we temporarily disable VoIP functionality while we diagnose an issue with the TeamSpeak 3 SDK.We will provide more information on when VoIP functionality will be restored as soon as possible.

Services have been restored. Upon launching the client you will be required to install a small patch.

The Like a Champion MARK II event will be extended by a full 24 hours.

But timer is not changed, weird.

 

48 battle and 27 wins you can actually conside yourself very lucky if it was solo, it's over 50%.

Took me 65 battles to get it done, the same conversione rate, 25/27 and 2/1 KDR as well. Just couldn't get to win.

When they will realized winning condition is very stupid on those events, it will always bee too late.

 

Ta, not sure I can face trying tonight but would have been better if they'd told us earlier as would have run some more battles last night.

 

Not useful for them. This way they can force people to play A LOT over the weekend and as such fill the server,...
Reminds me of WarFrame, they even had an event that was made to be lost by the playerbase,...

 

Today I will just be LRM derping in my WHK, the grind was tiresome, time to troll

 

Same event without the win conditin it would be even worse we would have so much people suiciding for there kills, or even suicide after they get a kill to get into a new mech faster.

 

Ouch, I almost walked away after a battle last night when we were 6-1 up.... and lost...

I kid you not.

They just turtled below on HPG and some idiot told us to wait for them when we wanted to hit them in two groups from opposite sides. Then people just died one by one as we did nothing. It came down to an almost untouched D-DC, my damaged WVR-6R and an Orion against 5 of them. We coordinated on voip and pushed in ... ok the Orion and I did....

They focused the orion who was giving it everything and acting like a real pro to keep attention on him. Gave me time to kill four mechs before their hidden stalker caught me from behind.

So it all came down to the D-DC who had stayed outside, someone who apparently had no idea how to use a D-DC to tackle a crippled Stalker. They didn't respond or show any sign that they understood to anything said on voip trying to help them so one of the crippled/useless "non-team" players who disabled it looks like.

They barely managed to land a shot on the Stalker and in desperation I had to type instructions to them by hand like - "switch on your heat vision" (those they followed so clearly it was VOIP not English they had a problem with).

I was excruciatingly painful made worse by my disbelief and the knowledge that even getting 5 kills hadn't helped us win.

Luckily the other two peopel in my lance pepped me up and we carried on.

 

I doubt there can be worse games then this weekend, at most on par but less grind.

For me, that would be better then people turtling or waiting ages to engage while driving assaults, if they go all out to kill someone they will be much more useful.
If then don't care about death after the first one? even better. I don't think they would just suicide but run into other mechs and alpha like crazy. I would be more ok with that then how 80% of the players did this week !

But of course this giveaways is to fill servers and make people grind, so that's not gonna happen

 

Yeah we literally had a lance full of three Direwolves/Warhawks fitted with gauss and ER PPC's with an ECM Kitfox sitting massively behind the rest on canyon and using the rest of the team as bait..... was illuminating ghosting them.

Fucking waste of space people basically but at least it gave me names to add to my list that I can't rely on in future.
