Yeah, the BLR-2C look kinda lackluster, unless they're using the lore to suggest that it has a specialized electronics suite. Since the CTF-3D is the base Cataphract model, can we assume that the CTF-0X will have jumpjets? A jumping ECM-capable 70-tonner would be ridiculous. Also, no mention of any new heroes. The Thunderbolts and Wolverines are getting lonely.
CTF-0X, looks like it'll have a minimum of: LA - 1E (Stock MLas) LT - ECM (Technically EW Equipment) CT - No Clue - CTF-0X lists a Remote Sensor Dispensor RT - 1B (Stock AC/5) RT - 2E (Stock MLas and PPC) No Jump Jets.
Feedback, bit by bit: May 5th: I'll be getting that JM Champ for "free" since I was a donk and preordered the pack on day one So that's neat. The NARC indicator is finally here...2 years overdue, but it will be nice not to have to rely on someone else to call it out when you get hit. Now you can call it and ask for ECM help. New CW map might be interesting later, but I have no intention of touching CW for a while after that event. Panther hits for CBills. May 19: CTF-0X is the biggest thing here...when that hits, the IS will now have an ECM choice at every weight level, leaving only the clans missing one (Assault). They will also have a potentially nasty drop deck option...with this, you could now drop Raven 3L (35), Griffin 2N (45), Cataphract 0X (70), and Atlas DDC (100) to have a 250 ton drop deck that was 100% ECM. VOIP improvements are good, I have my receiving volume turned as high as it will go (+20 DB) and some people are still impossible to understand over VOIP. I use it a lot to try and coordinate the PUGs, so I'm all for improvements. Enforcer hits for Cbills. June and Beyond: New mechlab on the 2nd, that sounds amazing (if it works right). Instant improvement over the current UI. Grasshopper (SQUEE) hits for CBills, so there will be a lot more people running around in what I still think is one of the meanest heavy mechs around. June 16th is the first round of the Wave 3 mechs as the Executioner (meh) and Ebon Jaguar (SQUEEEEE) hit, so that will be a nasty time to be in game Urbies are also up for CBills that day, so you may see a new influx of them. The Zeus also hits that day for cbills, bringing the first resistance pack officially to a close. Overall, it looks like a good month...lots of mechs coming out for people to buy for cbills, lots of new improvements, and a heavy-class mech that will finally give the IS something akin to the Hellbringer to take into a fight. I can't complain about those options, especially with more improvements incoming next month.
My guess is that 2x AMS on the Battlemaster, and yes ECM Cataphract. Happy to know they are improving LFG though, I had fun in it.
