We've gotta take up donations to get that fella a mic and mail to to his mountain shanty. Won't even divulge what country he's in. He's an elusive one, that Blagg.
I don't know what country Blagg lives in but I do know that they've got a fine selection of porn music there. Almost every one of Blagg's videos is set to a porn sound track. Blagg is the Glenn Quagmire of MWO.
How dare you reveal my true identity!!? I'll teamkill you. Hehe, i always listen to those kind of "porn" music when playing, so teamspeak on would distract me from that. But i will buy a Mic one day!
I used to play a lot, and got into plenty of games with blagg and many others. Now that I just hate the bugs in the game, and the lack of weapons for the mechs, I've changed to both Titanfall and Warthunder. I'm planning to make video's on both games, due to them being actually interesting. Mechs vs ground infantry for Tf, and history and both planes and tanks for WT. I did just donate $50 to this site however, so I will try to focus on making video reviews on mechs. Even if the game makes them suck fat Atlas chunks.
It would be fun to organize another MechSpecs night like Vergere used to lead us on. I love my Merc Corp, but, it's always fun to meet new players and see other's tactics/builds. Especially with private matches now making it so we could run constant matches, not worrying about searching for another 12-man or being two people short of a full team able to drop.
I haven't logged onto their channel in a while, but, I believe that NGNG's TS3 Channel still has a MechSpecs room that we could occupy for drops. Or possibly use our UMAD channel if our Council is cool with it, seeing as so many UMAD members are also active MechSpecs guys.
Is these even allowed with UMAD? I looked at your group's rules since I was somewhat interested and if I remember they are wicked restrictive. In particular, if you are EVER online, you MUST be on the UMAD TS server. No exceptions. Huge turn off for me.
If all else fails, all us boring unaligned people can try to get stuff organized. Perhaps we can post times we are on (if we have a steady schedule) and try to meet up with folks. I wish my time was more steady, but as it is now, I'm working very odd hours. I think the best I can do now is roughly 8am-2pm Pacific Time, or 3pm-9pm GMT. I live in California, but I seem to play like I'm a european. :/ Don't know about a TS channel. I saw that Comstar has a mechspecs channel? I suppose if all else failed, we could have one of us host a server in a day to day basis if we want to be special. P.S. Yay! Someone has(d) noticed me at least once in a game
You have to be on the server to show who's online so they can poke you if they have a practice/12-man impromptu, ect. However, you are not limited to EXCLUSIVELY play with UMAD. I thought that was weird at first, too, but, it's just a misleading statement. They like to see the channel look full, so, they want you to be in channel if you're online, however, it's not a problem to go to an Away room and join different TS servers and play with other friends. We have some members (me lately as I'm so damn busy) who are only online about once a week and I'm always greeted with a friendly welcome. Never once have I even heard whispers of not contributing enough or been told I need to participate more. Moreover, when I've played matches with my brother and his wife, UMAD has always just let me do my own thing. It's not a matter of only dropping in UMAD groups. They're good people.
I have faced Grimm many times. Sometimes on the same team and sometimes on the opposite team. I cringe when I see him in that stupid Raven of his but every once in a while I catch him working on some other mech that he isn't an Uber God in and I smack him around a little bit. I would say we trade 50/50 for wins or losses on my main account depending on which mech he is in and I am in. As for the other fellas, I have also run across Jay Z, TFun, Cpt Chat (and several of the UMAD blokes). In fact I would say I have run across many of the higher ELO players that frequent this site in the last 6 months.
This was on the MWO meme thread...since I may, or may not have done this the other night, it's pertinent to this thread (but the grammar hurts me, and I claim no ownership ;p)
I saw Enlieph yesterday kicking metal butts in his Shawk 2D2. Was leveling my Jenners and didn't notice him till I was checking how much XP I'd earned at the end. I my memory is correct he kicked butt and I was just mediocre in that match. Remember my brothers funk is it's own reward.
Not likely, my comp was overheating yesterday and my framerate dropped to low 20ish for the most part. So chances are I am doing minimal damage, also why I am doing 2D2 and the new TBT Hero, streaks are less affacted by low framerate. Is trying to see the difference between the two chassis also. Lesson of the day, always clean out the fan if you have feline companions, always. The only reason I was playing is to get the 10 matches done within the time limit so I can get a free hola girl.
