Thank you Archwright for starting this thread and PhaedrusBE, thank you for helping me find the best possible build for the LB10-X FLAME. I can't imagine a better loadout for this 'mech. Mythweaver
I dropped one heatsink to add artemis and really get a maximum concentrated effect from the LB10+ASRM4 shotgun blast. Also, only take 2 tons of LB10 ammo which puts it more in line with the rounds available for the SRM launcher. Thanks for the inspiration!
When trying my build again (which can be found in SubjectSeven's thread) I found 30 rounds of LBX pretty low for 12 vs. 12. Maybe it's just me because I tend to use the LBX as early as possible (400+ meters), but with the firing rate of the LBX I fear to run dry in a prolonged engagement with only 2 tons of ammo. I therefore removed the AMS from my build for adding another ton of LBX ammo, thus resulting in an inferior version of your build. Damn you, now I need to purchase another XL350 to keep my mechs ready-to-use (sans modules). I might try to remove one DHS in order to put more armor on the mech, but this seems to be just a minor alteration. Long story short, with the recent rise of light and medium mechs this is a pretty good choice at the moment. Love it.
