I've always loved flamers-making enemy mechs explode like popcorn in a furnace really puts a smile on my face So I was wondering what the current state of flamers is, and what is planned for them in the future.
http://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/73536-weapon-balancing/page__view__findpost__p__2355519 In the Dev blogg that I linked, Flamers re-configured to heat a Mech up to 90% of it's heat threshold and is capped at that point. If the target Mech fires, chances are they will shut down. The more flamers you have on your Mech, the faster it will take the target Mech to its 90% cap. We do not want the flamers to directly shut down a Mech which would introduce a very nasty stun lock. There is no other current news or plans annonunced.
So is it a bug or by design that using one flamer will generate heat for the user but two flamers on chain-fire generates no heat whatsoever. Anyone else notice this?
