I really enjoyed this mech. It suffers from not being able to engage beyond near point blank, but it does have its moments. In the right situation you can quickly solo kill almost any mech, although the big IS assaults with armor quirks and DPS ballistic builds will eat you up, you need to have a teamate or two to focus them down quickly.

I went for a TC3 and max range nodes. It definitely does help. Heat management is good enough that fully skilled up you could lose a heat sink and even go for a TC4.

I also went left side/right side, but honestly when actually playing rarely used it to left/right peak. I think all 6 SPL's in the torso like you have it Excalibaard is probably just fine.
