The first time I post a build. Hope to not mess it up. :)

With the Quirks v2 I tried to run my Grid Iron with the Gauss + 3 MLas but actually I didnt like it. Either I had to take an XL or a slow Std. Either way, I got messed up as soon as I got to close to anything.

So I had a look at those tasty MPLas quirks and decided to dump the big ballistics. With -25% cooldown and +50% range on those pulse lasers (about 350 optimal range with range 5 modul) it did pretty well for me even in mid range fights. And with the 275 Std engine you're pretty mobile too.

In close quarters you got the SRM6 to deliver even more punch and 1000 rounds for your 2 MGs is enough ammo to strip enemy 'Mechs if you aim carefully.

As I mostly drop in PUGs I dont want to leave my AMS at home. I try to stick with my heavys or assaults most the time and do some surgery on the distracted enemies.

For modules I go with: MPLas cooldown and range 5, radar deprivation/seismic2/ams overload

Tell me if I made some crucial mistakes and/or if I can optimze something. I like to read some feedback! :)

    Greetings

Wow no love for the unusual grid iron build? I had a go with it and it certainly has potential. Fits my play style. I was using the classic BFG ac20 build on it and its just not the same as the 4G. Thanks for sharing!

Good role for this Hunchie. I have this chassis, but haven't run it. Personally I'd drop the ams and load up on more ammo. With the 275 you are fast enough to take cover, which you should already be in running a relatively short range Mech..... Miss running the Hunchie, first mech I mastered

Here's a recording of one of the matches I was in. The MPL up to 300m was great at harassing players from a distance. Although I only did a few games, I'm definitely going to use this build as my main. It's bloody good fun

    5/5,
5 stars from me because I believe it stayed true to the idea of being the perfect blend of firepower and mobility. A refreshing take on the Grid Iron.
