I was experimenting at work and came up with this short range powerhouse. The thinking behind it is that the SSRM2 will only fire when it has the lock and you can keep firing and the missiles will shoot when they are good and ready giving and extra blast to whichever weapon you group it with. Either the AC20 or the Lasers. Just have to remember to really head into the range for the weapons. This would be a good escort for big mechs. Tried to make it with as much armor as possible and used ferro fibrous and standard engine to try to make it as tanky as possible. Let me know suggestions on this mech.
MPLas is good, but in this case you might need the tonnage for something else. Oh, and with ammo already scarce for your AC20 you might want more. I would not use a lone streak launcher but I guess everyone is different. How about this.
yep, that os way bette actually. The ferro fibrous armor only gives you one extra ton, hardly worth it specially when you run out of space due to it. Developers should do something about it, either provide a higher tonnage discount or give more armor points when it is used. I am arranging my configuration more to yours cause 14 shots go really fast.
