For those circling brawler mechs that are cranking out buttloads of srm. Yes flamers are actually good now. I'd like to point out that STD250 weighs .5 tons less than STD255. This is not true for XL250 and XL255.
It is not garbage, but not as good as some people make it out to be. This is especially true when you need to be something fast and agile to make use of flamers, but fast and agile things usually have to be careful with their own heat management to start with.
Still unraveling the secrets of flamers. It is possible to overheat those stupid OP srm jenners, or all laser clan boats to nothing. It is definitely useful if you lose all your weapons and you manage to help out a buddy. Caps them at 90%
