OK, so this build is similar to the LPL/ERML or LPL/SPL setups for the Swayback IIC. The key difference with this setup is that it's a middle ground. It doesn't have the same rapid cooldowns in close range as the SPL sets, or the burn times at range of the ERML sets. What it offers instead is brilliant pinpoint damage in that mid-range area the SPLs fall off in. This setup was created "on the cheap" - using the stock XL Engine means that it runs slower than the min-maxxed setups, but carries as much armor with this style of armament. The set could also be modified by removing some of the excess of DHS, or the Jump Jets, in exchange for a larger engine. While it might not seem impressive, this Scalpel build has seen itself score a thousand damage match before.
