Been a dedicated light and medium pilot and was really struggling to find a build that worked for me with this mech, took about a week of trying different builds for the HM to work this out. Feel that the ac10 works better with the sniping nature of the build than the dual ac5's and the added SSRM's give me some defense against lights that get close. Cooling is very reasonable especially when chain firing PPC's and not using the streaks. Any tips on the build or piloting this mech in general would be appreciated, thanks.
I've been trying to decide which is best too, dual AC5's or AC10. The group fired AC5's give you a higher DPS, but the AC10 frees up some weight for the streaks. I haven't tried the AC10 yet, but I've got a Thuderbolt build that is very similar AC10, 1xPPC, 3ML. The AC5's have been effective for me, but light mechs can be an issue like you said. I've noticed that if I stay near other friendlies the lights aren't able to pick on me as much. Anyway, I'll give you 5 stars for this build since I'm having success with my similar Thunderbolt build and alternate dual AC5 Heavy Metal build.
