I disagree. The ERLLas can be a scalpel in the right hands. I often times get more kills in my Super Chicken than I do damage. If I'm GOING for damage I can sit there all day and carve off limbs etc but if I want to kill quickly I simply work weak RT, LT and CTs.
Ok I should have used the word "generally" as I presume this site is far more likely to have the focused hardcore players commited to being the best due to its nature and content. I volley CT's in my Banshee 3E. Lights literally explode and then at times abuse me no end. Overall 1 kill per 244.82 points of damage and improving (177 kills, 80 matches, 43,334 damage - 49 of those were in the tournament with a changed fit). My Banshee 3M which is an energy boat (2 ERLL, 2 LL, 4? ML) runs at 502.14 points of damage per kill. I freely admit thats just a personal example really as I have a lot of scope for improvement and its a relatively new chassis but "generally" for the average player I suspect you'll find that heavy hitting panel damage builds will kill more efficiently.
Found an entrant (no artillery as I've only ever experimented with it 4 times and not successfully ): Yes I know its worse than everyone else here but 1,202 is the highest I've screenshotted.
1900 damage? What is this? A shooting range? Did they forget to fire back? That is ASTONISHING! Best damage I've ever seen! /thumbs up
Yeah 1900+ Damage is Godlike. I guess stripping every single bit of Armor before killing right? You are such a sick cruel sadistic Mech-Tormentor. Haha But respect! This is Top1 in Hall of Fames
If you are talkin trash about scores or something like that then yeah scrub them out since its "name and shame" but if you are just boasting about your own accomplishments? No worries about the redacted stuff.
I have little enough shame that I keep Shadowplay footage of my worst matches and force myself to watch them for pointers afterwards on how to improve. Sometimes it doesn't work as I just hate certain mechs and want to get them mastered and then ignored for all time. Other times you end up scratching your head as you're not sure what went wrong. Rarely you have to shrug and simply accept there wasn't much you could do. Then there's a eureka moment when something clicks and you can solidly improve your performance. Of course you can always amuse yourself reading the comments you missed in a battle. hear:
I dont use Arty. One of my best game With 4 Large pulse you can do some dammage ...
Not as high as some, but my best total, and in a Spider with 2 mediums and 1 ERL. I used 1 Airstrike.
Not to be late to the party. But my best without any strikes (I never carry them), however I did use 11 tons of uac5 ammo. EDIT: Also a coolshot 6 and a coolshot 9. (no other modules, cuz im poor)
Not me.. but try to beat this Firestarter-Pilot! If you meet him, quickly take him out.. or he will massacre you all in an instant!
Impressive. But as always, credit needs to be given to the shitty team that allowed this kind of massive damage.
well you can see it that way.. but it's always difficult to fight a good Pilot with 7MPL in the second half of the game, when you try to get cap points and spread apart.
Yeah, that's an impressive match score for sure. And yes, as @epikt noted, it looks to be one of those MM mess-ups where he was the only good player in the match: both his entire team, and the entire enemy team, performed fairly poorly, so he was able to do tons of damage to the poor enemies, without his teammates interfering. In any case, it's still an extremely great match on his part . . . though he was probably a bit ticked at getting so close to 2000, and not reaching it!
This is actually a good point to make as well . . . if he HAD massacred people quickly, he probably wouldn't have had that much damage. I'm not saying he necessarily DID farm damage, but without seeing a video of the match, I have no way of telling that he didn't. And the 0-ping guy on their team . . . that's always an opportunity for someone to farm up to 3-400 damage if they want to. For me, the quick kill is always the best kill (watch my videos, you'll see); but that may not be the case for everyone. Just saying.
