Has anyone seen an improvement in Highlander performance since the latest quirks? There seems to be a slight improvement due to increased survivability, but they are stil not on par with Crabs and Banshees.
I used my 733C a few times after the quirks and didn't really notice much. Of course, notice I said a few times so take that with a grain of salt. I still hardly ever see HGN. Not that they're a bad mech, but these quirks don't make them brilliant. Maybe I'll take mine out a few more times and let you know what I think.
I don't brawl with my 733C. I put two UAC5, two LL, and 3 SRM2's and engage from the 400-600 meter range. It's a good midrange striker with that load out. Until they quirked the mechs last year it had the highest average damage of all my mechs, around 550. Personally, I've always liked the 733C in that I just enjoy playing it. I'm going to run it a bunch this week and see if my W/L, K/D, and average damage per match go up.
I will try your loadout this week. I play mine with std300, Ac20, srm4 and 2xLPL. Had an 808dmg round in it last night. 733C is probably my favourite mech but I do better on average in the Crabs and Banshees. How do you play the HM? I currently have the 3xLL and 2 AC5 with 330XL build. Also doing ok, but no big rounds recently. Normally between 400 and 600 dmg.
I've never tried the HM since I don't have much money. The 733C seems slightly better, but only slightly. It's the only one I still own and I only own it because I love dual UAC's.
Gauss and 3 LPLas is pretty fun in the 732 for a cheesy right side poker. Awful mobility though, will have to look into regular LLas for more engine/jets. Stats could easily be higher if this mech got into its own... ever.
