I was messing around with a 2x LL 2x LB10X build for a while and wanted to get back into PPC's but with the ghost heat mechanic I was curious about them as a backup weapon, decided to try one.

I don't know why this is effective, but it really is. For me at least.

Well, most flight simulators have a "magic airplane" that some people just do incredibly well with despite it being inferior.

This load-out is like that for me.

The two AC10's seem to just have a SAVAGE effect on targets (I think either something psychological or the pinpoint damage and ROF). and the left mounted ERPPC allows you to peekaboo around corners, as well as over ridge lines. It seems to confuse because it's not where the auto-cannon slot is. End game you can rack up some pretty good kills even guns dry. The 300XL is a pretty common engine, most people have at least one kicking around.

It's a hot build because my play style is; use the ammo then close with the energy weapons. Rarely do I risk a pot shot with the ERPPC unless I can spare the heat.

I also just like having two arm mounted big guns with a bit of traverse.

I like it better on the 3D. When brewing for the Ilya I always want to use all of it's ballistic hardpoints, 2x AC10 + 2x LL being a lone exception. Those ballistic hardpoints are what makes the Ilya unique to all other mechs except some Jager variant, but which suffer from 5 tons less.

It's better on the Ilya because of the credit boost!

then isnt it better to have the left AC10 in the Torso, you could better shoot from a corner.

I think it's more fun to rain pain from the top of a steep hill. Also able to pound cheeky people up said hill. Sure, the single AC could do it, but it wouldn't have the terrifying hit. Interesting idea though, however the corners of most hills seem to have a slight slope to them.

Really wish there was a command to raise arms up to shoot over stuff.
