JM6-DD Balanced Dakka My take on a balanced approach to maintain good armor - just can't burn through all the ammo in the first 5 minutes....imo lasts alot longer than the quad AC5 or UAC 5 builds but keeps their punch with backup.
I run similar when I want that quick, punchy Dakka. I try to never drop armor, esp. since I run with XLs and ammo in legs, as you do. I would bump the MLas down to Smalls for a ton of armor (also, saves a lot of heat) and consider trying to find a way to squeeze in more ammo. 150 in AC/2s goes QUICK. UACs, I tend to run through slower because I am mindful of firing too quick and jamming. Losing the Mediums for Smalls, you still can run 19 max DPS, which, in my mechs will keep you going for 12 seconds. Plenty of time to drop any one-on-one. Just my 2 cents. Blast on!
This is my variant. I've had good results with this build. When I'm slamming my dakka dakka in the face of my enemies, they, like most, will try to avoid me at all costs.
This is how I run it: Weapon groups: 1: UACs on chainfire - nearly works without jamming since cooldown was reduced (use a macro for absolutly no jams) 2: Both AC2s firing at once 3: Alpha If you press down 1 & 2, this leads to 1*UAC+2*AC2s = 9dmg hitting almost every 0.5sec. Pretty easy to execute, reminds me of my Chainsaw Ilya + UAC Macro (no Medium Lasers I know) but with high mounted weapons that make aiming and keeping constant fire on your target a lot easier. Enemies run away or melt. I cycle my UAC5s with the help of a Fire Control macro (510-520ms fire rate), just because I hate jams. Only "weekness": maximum of 1075 dmg
