Semi-mobile turret. Functions similar to the 2x AC5 + 2x AC2 Banshee-3E, except MOAR dakka!!!

 

Because it can and it should.

Max 17,60 DPS unquirked and unmoduled @620m AND pinpoint. AC5 cooldown module of course is highly recommended.

Since this is a sniper build and CT is very huge, it might mount an XL too

 

If someone has the mech, I'm really interested in the XL340 version impressions.

 

For the XL version, you can put Endo and an XL350, then crank the armor up to assault level.

 

I can give this a try with The XL.

I don't see endo with all that ammo and other junk on it. I'd rather add AMS / more ammo or laz0rs.

Will run it with XL340 tonight.

 

Hmm, I don't have a 340XL, but if I have some time I'll try out a 330XL this evening:



Edit: It's pretty damned effective. I'm used to running a STD300 engine, and the 5 KPH speed boost and turning is very noticeable.

 

This build keeps on shining. It has ridiculous DPS which makes Direwolves run for cover and enough ammo to keep firing through the match if you run an XL engine.

 

I tried this build and I'm loving quiete a bit. The only thing I'm having problems with is the heat. When firing at full rate it climbs first steadily then really fast, like if I'm suffering from severe ghost heat. What's your firing discipline ?

 

I fire everything until I hit the overheat warning, then I fire only the AC5s.

Great build. Awesome firepower. I had a spare XL 325 lying around so I'm using that with a AMS.
Maybe my config is a little light on ammo but rapid 24 damage bursts eats up mechs.
It does get a little hot so stop firing the ac2's when that happens.

 

Running a build close to Sassafras, just a wee bit different. So I def suggest everyone give his build a shot!

Sacked some leg armor (I wouldnt suggest this exact setup for CW) and a bit front armor bias'd myself.

But so far loving the build. The XL doesnt seem like a hinderance at all and I'm usually able to brawl/keep my back against something to protect my juicy innards.




Weapon Groups:
1. Left claw AC5 x2 & AC2
2. Right claw AC5 x2 & AC2
3. Left claw AC5 x2
4. Right claw AC5 x2

I usually fire left and right after the other and usually heat doesnt seem to be an issue at all unless I'm full on Dakka for a bit.

Finished this game up and still had plenty of rounds left to rock some mechs faces off. Loving the build so far and cant wait to grab the KGC-0000 on sale so I can start mastering these things.

I haven't been keeping count, but I've probably lost a Side torso before my Center torso roughly 1 in 10 games. I think that's a low enough risk to justify carrying enough ammo to wreck everyone on the battlefield, not have to worry about whether to take a shot or not, and improving your turning speed to be able to line up shots quicker. I'm not going to lie, though, I waste a lot of ammo. For people with better aim and control, going with less ammo and speed is certainly an option.

 

-Shrug- Works for me. I'm usually cored out before I lose a Side torso. But it has happened.

I'm with Sassafras on this one. Love the XL in this thing.

Still loving this build so far.

 

Because especially on this sustained fire build it's easier to get cored, having to constantly face the other mechs to fire and damage.

I think after all taking the risk on this, is worth it, my xl340 build for example has 1874 damage potential, and as anyone knows dakka is the most efficient kind of damage, with low heat high range and pinpoint.

 

i agree, personaly i would not run an xl on any crab other than this one.
