    Objective
This was my last crab to master, and i wanted to try AC20s in the claws and hence make a brawler. Initially i tried an AC20 in each claw and whilst this did pack some crazy wallop i couldnt get used to not being sure which arm was about to fire next as i had been playing a right armed DPS Claw previously, and love the ability to creep round corners and shield with my left. So i dropped the left AC20 and changed upto 3 Large Pulse Lasers (with the new patch their is no ghost heat penalty on this either!). I found that i had the pin point power that i wanted, with both the AC20 and 3 LPLs being able to deliver accurate shots. I also found that having some range helped allot (i had 4 MPLs before and just couldnt do anything above 500m).

Finally i found i was having fun peeping round corners and dropping whatever i ran into. The final touch was to add a Beagle. By this time i had trained myself to shield, and now it came learning to look at the enemy damage readouts and weapon payloads so i could choose where to hit them with my precision shots. Also i had a really embarrassing game on the Caustic Valley when i couldnt find any enemys so i strolled over the top of the crater and found 4 ECMd mech who wiped me out. Never again!

    Pros
    • Utter destruction at < 300m
    • Fast target aquisition
    • Precise you can choose where to place your damage
    • Right sided for crawling round corners and shielding with the left
    • You can hill peep with the 3 LPLs, they also provide some medium range power
    • Tough to put down if you shield properly
    • Uses the default Std 300 engine, so you dont have to get an expensive upgrade
    Cons
    • Slow clomp clomp clomp
    • Not great at range
    Modules
    • 360 Target Retention
    • Radar Deprivation
    • AC20 Cooldown or Range
    • LPL Cooldown
    Gameplay
Your greatest challenge will be crossing the distance to get into range. Avoid open space where mechs with greater range can pick you apart. Hug buildings, and love tunnels. Since you are a little slow you will usually arrive late to the Brawl, do not rush in. Take your corners carefully and place your shots. If you have a target lock before you engage, then take the time to inspect their damage read out looking for weaknesses. Clan mechs may have a weak side torso that you can exploit, allowing you to pop them quickly and saving you from their return fire.

If you get too hot lay off the LPLs and stick to placing the AC20 rounds, and using the SRMs to pressure the enemy. Dont forget to shield when taking too much fire.

This version drops the BAP in favour of Artemis guidance for the SRM6s, giving them a slightly tighter grouping and adding to the focused fire power of the build.
