Nothing bad about this mech may be spoken, I have achieved great success. 20 damage pin point damage passed 600m from cannons, 18 damage out to ~500 meters with lasers. Enough ammo and energy power to last quite a while. Fast enough to reposition and "keep up" with most heavies. Can drop a DHS 1/2 ton ammo for AMS or just drop the DHS to add another Ton of ammo. I'm running this mech as my CW assault but on the 000(L) for cbills.
I've been playing with a STD 300 version of this mech and I agree it's pretty good.Of course yours is a lot faster, but I remain dubious of XLs on crabs. I've also tried dropping down to 12 HS and 1 LL because it can run pretty hot on some maps, after awhile. In return, I picked up 2 Mediums and upgraded 2 of the AC5s to Ultra AC5s. It also allowed me to pick up an AMS as well. Even with an XL you can do all of that except picking up an AMS and end up with slightly more ammo than you started with.
My version of this, with WAY more ammo! And yes, this weapon combo is pretty beastly at mid-to-long ranges. And the heat efficiency actually isn't all that bad; when it gets hot, I usually just stick with firing 2 AC5s at a time (without the lasers) until I'm cool enough to bring the rest back in as well.
Only build in my eyes that makes sense for this chassis. It even works in my (L) with 2 med lasers, since I don't have enough money for double heatsinks yet.... actually if you drop the lasers altogether you can just go
Kinda of off the OP without LLas, but the UAC/AC5 combo is devastating! I'm going to try out 2x UAC, 2x AC5, 3x MPL tonight...
Let me know how this runs with the XL engine.... I have a 350 I can pop into mine. The extra speed would be nice, and the increase in damage output from adding the MPlas might help my grind a bit if I can stay alive in it.
