I have seen people in game and on forums mention that they prefer the KTO-18 over other Kintaro models because it has the best movement of the torso and arms. I haven't said anything when I've seen that said because I wasn't one hundred percent sure, but the way I remember it when the Kintaro released for cbills I looked it up and the KTO-20 was the variant with the bonuses. I don't know if I'm not understanding something or if this is just a mistake that has carried around the community (or i'm the only one seeing that). I looked up the stats again on the MWO wiki and this is what I found- KTO-18 Pitch Twist Arms 30° 35° Torso 30° 100° twist X bonus 110°/120° KTO-19 Pitch Twist Arms 30° 35° Torso 30° 100° twist X bonus 110°/120° KTO-20 Pitch Twist Arms 30° 45° Torso 35° 115° twist X bonus 126.5°/138° KTO-GB Pitch Twist Arms 30° 20° Torso 30° 90° twist X bonus 99°/108° If that information is correct, the 18 is getting credit for movement it doesn't deserve. I think it raises a good point that this information should always be available in the mechlab so that people really know what they are getting when they buy a new mech.
