Finally a Misery I actually like, that's not just a copy of another Stalker I run. Big alphas are nice for poptarts, but continuous, accurate fire at medium range wins most most fights for the brawlers. Alternatively drop a DHS for a 4th ton of ammo, heat will still be 1.31. MISERY Current "final" version...as if there's ever a final version  original build:
Running a similar build myself. Had a Gauss in there originally but found myself dying to side torso destruction way too often. Been surviving matches a lot more since I swapped it for an AC/20. Also using LLs instead of LPLs at the moment for longer poking range. Never had a problem running with just 21 ammo. And leg armor might be light at 41 per leg, but I haven't been legged in my last 25 games or so. Found it better just to max torso and arms.
I like that. I've run some of my main Stalkers as low as 25 on the legs without issue. No one bothers shooting one of these in the legs, like with an Atlas, since they need to work the torso as much as possible. About the only times I got legged is when LRM's are spammed, and there's not much you can do about that. I agree, 21 rounds seems plenty in the Stalker, whereas I usually need 28 in my Flame. This is my current version. Having very good results with it:
For the most part, I only like LPLs if I'm already using all of my energy slots. You can drop one and go 4xML + LPL (granted, it's not all on the arm) and have a similar alpha for 5 tons less, or you can go 2xLL + 3xML and have a bigger alpha and 3 spare tons. This can go towards ammo, because 21 ammo isn't a lot for sustained fire, or DHS if it will fit.
I'm still running my ac/20, PPC, 2LL build and having very good results. With the notes about heat penalties for firing multiples of the same weapon, soon to come, I think you'll see more mixed weapon builds like this in the future rather than PPC and LL boats.
100% synsergy free and no carbs! LOL Swapped out the ppc for an lrm20 recently, but I'll post that one separately later. Good results, added tag as well.
A more survivable, bigger brother of my Jotunheim build for the TDR-9S. If I had a misery I'd definitely run it!
