Most Kills in MWO (Screenshots required)!

This is a complementary thread to Lan's Highest damage score in MwO (screenshots req)?

The Killscore is one of the main measurements for Piloting Skills and so for ELO. Now if you can kill the entire (or at least half of the) enemy team, one can say you are a true worthy Mechwarrior.


After playing a lot of MWO matches in the past two years, I have come to an assumption of Piloting Skills:

10+ is probably using Cheats or Cheese from outer space (Godlike)
9-10 is close to Impossibility (Massmurderer)
7-8 is probably by many Killsteals (Ace or Lurmageddoner?)
5-6 is legendary (Punisher)
3-4 is good (Veteran)
1-2 is ok (Average Guy)

 

I'd roughly agree in that I have exactly one nine kill match in maybe 4.5k matches.

Five eight kills and one was in the tournament last weekend which earned me the Ace of Spades achevement.

So much comes down to a balanced fight on those as you need time to kill the opponents and have to lose plenty of team mates so they can't "steal" your kills.

The ability to minimise incoming damage via pop tarting or low visibility (ECM Raven/Cicada etc) is very useful as that way you outlast most other people.

Of course then you get killstealing mechs like the Ember/FS9-H which finish off mechs like anything.

6 kills, 411 damage.

I've done 8 kills once but don't think I have any video of it. I believe it was in my Jenner too.

 

Not sure if I have a screenshot of it anymore, but I watched a guy get 11/12 kills

 

All in The Destroyer Build for my VTR-9B. No cheese pop-tarting. This is straight 2xAC/5, 2xLL for range and then up close and personal brawls with 2xSRM4s thrown in.

8 Kills was my top, I believe.

I believe 7 was my best (CTF-3D with AC20 + 2x LLas + 2x MLas).



And yes, I had plenty of kill-steals. A bunch of mechs had retreated behind a ridge in Tourmaline after their armor was removed, so I just popped over the ridge and one-shotted each of them.

As an aside, I also noticed going through my screenshots that pretty much every time I've done well, I've been in the Bravo lance (like 95% of the time). Is there some default lance you're put into when you PUG, and the times I wasn't in Bravo was because someone rearranged the lances?

 

I am in the 8 boat, in my CTF-3D. I think my FS9-E is in the 7 boat. I'll dig up screenshots when I get home. There have been games where I have been shooting at 10 or more mechs during death though, just not lucky enough to get the kills on all of them.

 

Best I got with the screen shots saved from a hard drive crash is 7. I know I got more than that in my Boomcat once while running with Marcus and Altair in Frozen City night, but I lost the screenie and don't know the exact. Here's the shot of the 7.

Sadly my 3 x 8 kills in my Boars Head are on the HHoD forums and being an idiot I don't seem to have kept a copy (I'm persona non grata there after moving with the Euro side to Zulu-6 so not getting those back I suspect however much I enjoy dropping with them again whenever I can!).

Epikt and Aylek comin' in with the big kills without the big tonnage! Kudos, fellas. Most of us were running 80T or higher!

 

I think I've capped out at 9 kills, facilitated by being the last man standing versus 6 and having no choice but to put my carry pants on.

 

That is a very impressive win TFun, especially being two people down!

I threw down a 7 kill match in my 4X once. I won't brag until I find the screenshot.

...heck of a match, the rest of my team only managed 1 kill.

 

and there are other rounds, where you have the feeling - wth am i the only one doing the job here?
