Don't remember what last years was like but no buying for me until I see something happening that doesn't involve producing a revenue stream.
It's the same as last year. Simple Google search... I am very tempted, but I think I will resist. PGI has to deliver something now, there must be something they did with all the money they already got from us. And it's not like the feedback available about UI 2.0 is very promising. As much as I want a Dragon Slayer for example, I won't give them any more money soon. Again: It's time to deliver something, PGI.
Tempting but not for me either. It's time to see some more results. I've put my game on simmer and just doing some maintenance play to keep my game in.
just bought the 50 bucks package - needing some mechbays anyways for the upcoming Phoenix Mechs and this offer is coming at the perfect timing. It's not little money, especially now before Christmas, where i have to buy so much presents for my beloved people. But...... to hell with the money! Maybe i upgrade my Oldie Machine a month later or something I understand why you all keep your wallets closed, if you have spent already much of your money. I think its also the last time i give PGI my support before CW starts. Hope they can work out a better Version 2.0 of this game in 2014. I wish them my best luck. Hope that they don't lose that big chance again, or Blagg Zear will play+support some new upcoming+promising (f2p) games. Until then i will still play MWO and terrorize mechspecs.com.
I bought the $30 pack for the Mech Specs testing account so that I can do more videos for you guys including Hero mechs etc. but on my personal account? Negative. It's xmas time and I blew a bunch o'cash for my sons stuff and the wife. Reading over the sale thread, over there, I see a lot lot lot of comments that reflect negatively on the state of the game and the general consumers thoughts towards buying more MC. This actually makes me quite wary because a lot of people are withholding their money until more content/game modes/CW and all that jazz are out. Crunch time for PGI; sink or swim baby. Hell even here, among the tuners and wrench monkeys, there are more people withholding their cash than there are buying more MC; even if you added those who weren't sure to the buying more MC bracket. Dark days ahead?
If PGI learns a few of the basic principles of UI design, it could be fine. eg Users don't have the manual, and if they did, they wouldn't read it. In fact, users can't read anything, and if they could, they wouldn't want to. Modal dialogs suck. Avoid them whenever possible. Reduce the number of actions needed for common tasks. eg Clicking save should save, not prompt you with a modal dialog asking if you want to save. etc.
However, things like selling your mech and parts should ALWAYS HAVE a modal dialog, ALWAYS! It would be sad to have sold your mech from one single misclick, esp those by a cat or something. Any ingame purchases (esp with MC) would require it also, if only to avoid arguments. Other than that, probably should not have modal dialog.
Exactly. Irreversible actions should have confirmations, reversible actions shouldn't. If I want to save a mech without an engine I should be able to click "save" and have it save. I should not have to click "save", click through the "you don't have an engine!" dialog, then click the "yes, I really want to save this mech which I just clicked save for" box. But if I want to sell the engine, it should ask for confirmation since I can't undo it.
onix? Oh did you get some extra MC from the nice African American Friday sale? I got myself a big package, just so I can get mechbays when mine is full.
