@ Toro, bad a$$ looking too.... only 2 varients though.... both the same hardpoints. 1E 2M @ Venom... not out till 3055
Oh ok that is a relief, just checked for the production year of the venom on sarna where it told me it is 3050.
The picture says it's 3055 as well. Plus it would be boring to release a 'spider upgrade' as the new mech imo :x
For me, I think it's a new 35 ton Light mech. So it's either the Hollander, Firebee, or Firestarter. I kinda want the Firebee, because it's a unicorn mech. The other two would be good choices, but the Hollander is most controversial.
They would put out another Spider(ish) mech. Considering it is still the most difficult mech to hit even though it weighs 33% more than a Locust...
At first I thought it was likely to be the Wolfhound too but if you check the page the variants that are timeline specific don't do much... ie one switches a medium laser for another heatsink and another changes all rear weapons into front facing weapons. I don't think we'll be seeing a wolfhound in MWO.
I started MW/Battletech with the novels - so I'd like to have a Stinger, Wasp or Valkyrie ('cause they are so common in the first novels and if its has to be a light mech) - and "of course" a MARAUDER (the incarnation of "bad ass metal") I want that mech as bad as a Timberwolf, maybe even a little bit more.
Russ already said, recently, that there will be no more Unseen or classic mechs coming other than what they have as "the relationship isn't there" (Harmony Gold won't buddy buddy up)
The Hatchtman would be cool either lots of variants and legging a foe with the axe must be awesome... Though I doubt that this can be implemented.
God if only.... WAIT WAIT HOLY SHIT I JUST HAD A THOUGHT! WHAT IF IT IS THE MOTHER F*CKING BRIGAND!?!?! I know probably not likely but a PIRATE made mech in MW:O?!?!?! That would explain the controversy aspect of it and add another 25 tonner to the roster. although not likely cause it was made first in 3065, although it does have 4 variants.
I doubt we would ever get an urby, unfortunately. Firestarter is a thought. I do not think we will see many < 35 tonners, either.
