This build was made in an effort to actively engage EMC mechs as well as those not covered.
I was able to keep the armor up at a fairly high level with a speed that suits my playing style.
Those that want more speed may drop a ton of ammo or strip off a little armor to step up to the bigger motors.

Here is an example with a XL295 and the armor stripped down a little to keep the ammo count the same.

Some might find it beneficial to swap out a ton of the SSRM ammo for another ton of SRM ammo.

Here is another variant but this one I use more for brawling, if you can call a Jenner a brawler ;)

I put the SRM6's in the arm to get more aiming ability. A single SSRM2 is still here as well as the BAP for the ECM mechs.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Why mounting the SRM on the torso and the streaks on the arm? The SRM would greatly benefit from the vertical mobility, while the streaks really don't care.

Also, shave the armor from the head, rather than legs (always max the legs!) and arms.

    edit: here's what I'd do

Be it playing style or simply my luck I very rarely get legged or lose an arm. I usually lose an engine from torso damage. This is why my build uses more armor in the torso and gives up a little on the arms and legs.
As for the ssrm and srm location it is my personal preference for a single srm6.
If you look at the third variant I have a build with dual srm6's in the arms and a single ssrm in the torso.

I any case this seems to be a good build for me and others may want to try it.
By using the single SRM6 it increases the shot count, decreases the heat, allows for additional armor and increases the sustained dps.
This build does give up a little in the alpha strike area but I haven't found myself using Alpha with the ssrm and srm combination.

Not to sound insulting but how often do you pilot light mechs? I used to exclusively pilot light mechs (have since branched out but the Jenner was my baby for months) and my experience was very much the opposite... enemies snipe your legs in a Jenner and very often ignore your torso altogether. Perhaps you stop too often? You should be running at max speed most of the time in a Jenner. Obviously you're welcome to play however you like but generally speaking this is the suggested methodology for light mech piloting.

As for the SSRM and SRM locations; why do you have that preference? The SSRMs don't receive any benefit for arm placement. Regardless of the mech they use the arm crosshair to establish the lock. The only minor benefit I could see from putting them in the arms of a mech is on the rare occasion that shooting them from your torso would result in hitting an obstacle... and this is a non-issue in the Jenner because the arms can only angle up and down not left and right.

I'm a dedicated Jenner (and spider) pilot and I share the same experience: legs are the weak point. And personally I also aim at the legs a lot.
That's why I never strip armor from the legs on a light mech. On the jenner, first I take from the head (I leave something like 5, it's enough), then the arms (approx 20 is ok), then side torsos (just few points down).

I pilot nothing but light mechs with my top choice being a Jenner-D.

    Again its personal preference.
Allocate the armour and hardpoints any way you want.
This build works well for me and I thought others might want to try it and see if it works for them.
