Latest patch notes, including a Quickdraw hero with arm ballistics. https://mwomercs.com/news/2014/05/851-quickdraw-hero-mech-ivfour
I wasn't able to launch in a group tonight, and it looks like I wasn't the only one. Goind solo and sync droping with your friends works well (and is funny).
Dig that trial Orion. Nice to see some love there... Also, I WANT THAT QUICKDRAW! lol It's the first time I've ever had more than passing interest in a QD...
nope. several games, including our own team, had more than 1 group on the same team. Last game was our 3-man and another 4-man on the same team. Good, haven't seen this issue pop-up again so far. Lobby ready was fixed, but the in-game ready button still doesn't depress when clicked like it used to... not sure why they changed this in the first place. let's be honest, there was never an issue here The hero mech looks neat, at least the hardpoints do. Looking forward to see what builds people put together for it! in-general, I have been experiencing longer solo-drop times, about normal 4-man group drop times, but EXTREMELY long 2-man and 3-man group drop times. Cico and I couldn't find a match for ~30 minutes after trying a 3-man, then a 2-man twice... Later I was in a 3-man with Blagg and we found a match after a few minutes...
good to know it's not just me. I've been experiencing the same. 5 minute or so single man drops in some cases. Last night, dropped in a PUG vs a pre-made Steiner 12.... wasn't pretty.
Someone explain to a battletech noob why the mech is named the same thing twice! IV=4, so to me this is the Quickdraw four four
Hard for me to get very excited about another ho-hum patch. No SRM fix. Check. No 3x4 but PGI has finally, maybe, almost fixed the Matchmaker from 2 weeks ago when they broke it trying to put 3x4 into the game. Check. No CW to be seen. Check. PGI pushing clan mechs for sale and a new hero that has given so many a semi-woody because it's got ballistic slots. Check. All I see these patch notes saying is 'Nothing to see here, move along'. For those of you who can stay positive about MWO with PGI just spinning it's wheels getting no where I salute you.
I'll still be spinning my turbines and screaming SRM KILL! Speaking of which, I need to make some chat macros
Not too excited about the patch. The xml clean up is a good thing I hope. Mybe the newer format would make extracting things like info of the future clan mech less of a pain. It is progress, and progress of any kind is good I guess. SRM has been better, but then again it was the last patch. Honestly though SRM seems usable now, maybe they should lessen the proposed buff a bit. Hero is ok, a useful one at least, which is good cause you only get 3 cbills variants of quickdraw and one of them is shit (the one with less missile tubes for extra JJ you will never use). Wish they can expand on more cbills variants also, even if it is later. The team thing seems like a more positive idea, but not sure, I have been getting more disconnect this patch, and that sucks.  Also matching seems slower even, and oh, for some reason it is taking up more of my cpu resources. Not saying I have a good PC but if your UI+matching takes up about 40% of an i7 then there is a problem. Stability is probably once again an issue for the stupid UI, it is getting slow again relative to the last patch. Last patch made it smoother for some reason, now it is reverted. The refreshing data thing is acting up a bit, but it runs at least. I don't care about CW anyways. And remember with most players bing PUG CW is actually a lesser issue than you think. I rather have a few rounds of game with more balanced and variated playstyles, than some "big picture" warfare that are only going to make matching more troublesome for PUGs, or limit the games we get to play per day, or mech we can use.
Here's some tunage for y'all staying positive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-z5_JVng_w&feature=player_detailpage
Anyone having problems with how wide apart the IV-4's ballistic slots are? I keep trying to shoot past things or through gaps with embarrassing results. Can't decide if its just the dual AC10's, my lack of experience with the chassis or its an actual problem.
