I'm mostly surprised that the Hunchback didn't get a single vote.

 

Well id vote for the video's golden boy's bike before i voted for the mech. but thats just me.

 

Simply because Hunchies die too fast.. though it is a Fun.Mech.

 

Love Jenners! Too bad they dont have ECM, so i play raven now but i still voted for jenners!

 

My favourite's the mighty Catapult!

It's versatile; I can set it up as either a close support/line mech with medium lasers and lots of srm's or I can set it up for indirect/direct fire-support. Relatively fast for a heavy; 86 kph with a 315 engine and speed boost! and most important of all GOOD LOOKING! Like an ED-209

I must say that I am surprised the Jagger doesn't get more of a mention here. It FEELS like one of the most common mechs I come across I know for sure its one of the most I respect facing because I know if I let it that things gonna hurt. Likewise I am stunned by the outpouring of Cataphract lovers.
I HATED mine just something about the arms around the ankles and so wide apart that you could stand behind a building and shoot around both sides simultaneously that made it a nightmare to get used to. That being sad, I am a new convert to speed. I was like speed? meh..Im a Mech who needs speed. Then I got my 1X and threw a monster motor and speed tweak....only mech my non-shooting, non-aiming, blow-up prone noob-tastic self has gotten 750+dmg and have even managed a couple 6-7kill games and 1 match it had 1 kill 11assists all thanks to the speed I am a reconvert...It even got me the ultimate badge of honor!! I was accused of hacking!! WOOT!! rofl if they could only see my full stats.

 

Jagermechs are powerful as aggressive Firesupporter, but needs XL Engine for the great builds. Cataphracts are better, because of 5 more Tonnage so can have the (almost) same builds but with Standard Engine. And there is no Variant with JJs. And JJs are OP!

 

I think the CPLT-C1 is the Mech, which i played the most matches until now. Its simply super fun to jump around, fire missiles at distracted enemies, and Tag+shoot Lasers at some ECM-Atlas. Cats are very effective in Teamfights, but weak if caught solo. But still i love Cats, because i love LRM.Boats. And jumpy LRM.Boats in MWO.. well thats the Catapult!

Poor Hunchie. I love them, but I don't do well in them.

 

There's a strong correlation between 'Mechs I am playing now - and those that I am doing best in. I am pleased - because it suggests I am improving - but I am displeased - since if my skill varies over time I have no way of comparing which chassis is objectively better for me.

I started in Stalkers, then Ravens, then Cataphracts, then Catapults and I've just done Hunchbacks.

Of all the 'Mechs where I have player more than 20 matches:

Highest W/L ratio = RVN-3L (2nd STK-3H, 3rd CPLT-C1) - my only ECM 'Mech. Causation or just correlation?
Highest K/D ratio = HBK-4P (2nd STK-3H, 3rd CPLT-C1)
Highest damage per unit time = STK-5M (2nd ILYA MUROMETS 3rd CTF-1X)
Highest damage per match = STK-5M (2nd STK-3H 3rd STK-3F)
Highest XP per unit time = HBK-4P (2nd CTF-1X 3rd HBK-4H)
Highest XP per match = HBK-4P (2nd HBK-4H 3rd CPLT-C1)

Lethality (kills/match) = HBK-4P (2nd CTF-1X 3rd STK-3H) - the brawling 1X doesn't survive long - but kills a lot of 'Mechs
Survivability (1 - deaths/match) = HBK-4P (2nd CPLT-C1 3rd STK-3H) - I note that missile 'Mechs hang around at the back

Overall winner HBK-4P. I usually run the standard 9xML build.

I spend more time in the STK-3F and ILYA MUROMETS (3xUAC5, 2xML) than any other 'Mech and they don't feature much here. The ILYA does more damage per unit time than any other 'Mech, except my DPS build for the STK-5M. I suspect the ILYA would be number one, but for the fact I ran it with 2xPPC and an AC10 for a while before converting to the chainsaw.

So Awesome is the worst Mech in MWO? And Kintaro second worst? Wow cant believe it. I have so high Scores withy Awesomes. Can't be that he find no lovers??!

 

Jager is a perfect blend of low profile, speed, and firepower. It's a fairly good platform for all kind of builds, from 4x LRM boats to Dakkas or Discos.

I still use my AC40 Jager DD, I use a Shortrange LPLAS/MG/SSRM brawler build on my -A nowadays, and I degaussed my -S to a UAC5/MG/MLAS build.

 

Because its uglier than sin and hot chicks dig sexy mechs... its the Ford Edsel of Mechs and why drive a Ford when you can have a Lamborghini Spider

 

I love my AWS-9M. I surprise my lance mates all the time with how well I can do in it. The AWS chassis taught me so dang much about piloting. I also dig the cockpit lay out and how spacious it "feels". It's like sitting on my couch at home and looking out the front picture window.
