ERLL to open the fight since there has been a lot of stand offs. LBX-10 and LPL for the brawl. Once the brawl starts I tend to save the LPL Alpha for emergencies or if I know I can get the kill. Good practice to keep the LPL on chain fire.

What about double ERLL for long and mid range engagements and LBX + LPL for 'fire & turn' play close up? You'll be faster and running cooler that way. See yourself:

I am not sure the extra heat is worth the ERLLas over regular ones as the Orion's arms are hanging quite low. Simply replacing them leads to pretty mean looking machine to me:

The amount of cooling might look excessive, but remember that firing all the lasers in one salvo will trigger ghost heat. In addition to this you shouldn't shut down when in the middle of a brawl. That's pretty unhealthy.

I feel the low hanging arms are a bad place to put an ERLL. It just means you have to expose more of yourself to get a shot off. The majority of my pub matches always start as some sort of jump sniping and ridge humping. I find myself getting off some easy shots while I wait for the brawl and flank to develop.

But really my idea behind this build is because there isnt enough LPL Protector builds.

Yeah, but the same is true for your single ERLLas in the torso. If I am allowed to choose I'd rather have the flexibility of fully actuated arms.

    ... which isn't the Protector's fault tbh. ;)

Mark my words, this will be the best Protector build once LPL are made to not suck.

Anyway, have you tried this build? You should, Wub Wub Wub makes everything better.

I'll try this STD300 version when I have time. Basically what I ran with PPCs when I first got the protector. Of course I was running an XL360 at the time because of the giant CT it had prior.

Once mastered, you can spam the MLas and LBX continuously and LPLas at a 50% reduced rate to keep sustained brawling DPS of 6.08

From what I can tell, that DPS isn't good enough for a full brawler. Nor does it have the speed of a good skirmisher. I'm not feeling very hopeful about the build, but I'll update after giving it a try.
