Tired of being killed in direct fire exchanges, I've come up with this indirect fire variant. It takes advantage of the 2X's 20 missile tubes to dump 15 at a time with decent grouping from Artemis. 810 missiles gives you 54 shots with the LRM, just don't stand in one place too long. If you want more up close firepower, you can drop a ton of ammo of leaving you with 42 volleys of missiles and go 3x MLas (or 2x MLas and 1x TAG): Suggestions welcome.
I just realized that this is pretty similar to the "Mini-Catapult". This is a cheaper/slower version though I prefer BAP's on my LRM builds.
Oh, a new face! Welcome on Mechspecs! I'll let the mods decide if it has to be merged with the mini catapult. My first suggestion will be to max the armor on the legs (always max the leg armor of a light mech). You can easily shave 8 points from the left arm. My second suggestion is to remove an external DHS, upgrade the armor to ferrofibrous and mount a 235XL. You'll gain more than 10kph (and a little cooling) with no drawback. But it will cost money if you don't own the engine yet (and to be honnest, the 235 is not the first engine to buy). As a general building advice, when you notice your build has close to 14 free crit slots (you have 12), it's often possible to free crit space to upgrade structure or armor and gain tonnage for an engine boost, especially if you have a low rating engine with external DHS.
I had to add 2 external HS because the 210XL requires at least 2 external HS. I think the 235XL requires 1 extra but I like the nudge in speed. Here's the 235XL with FerroFibrous to make room for the larger engine: I ran the top build a few matches tonight and had a couple of 250 pt games and one 450 (that I ran out of ammo on) so even the slow cheap one isn't too bad.
