Have been lurkin for months now but have not posted so far. So this is my first posted build here... the Pain In The Ass aka Cashcow All Range Heavy Fire support General Information Tried out several missile based builds with the SCR-D, but this one worked out best for me so far. I am at work so now screenshots for now. I manage to get easily(!) ~450 - 500 dmg per match - if I'm doing good / the team does not consits of potatoes the only limit is your amount of ammonition. As free bonus, since the new reward system, you can make crazy amounts of cbills with this one due to tag assists/kills/dmg, ecm counter spotting and of course sheer dmg done. Its quite possible to get over 150k cbills per match and often to go even over 200k cbills even without premium time with a matchscore trending arround 100. Guide / Play style This build is arround missiles and screenshake. In the early /sniping stage of the match you will be running arround with your team and try to find targets for your LRM boats with the tag. If you feel you can hit something - and only then, since you have only 2 tons of LRM ammo - feel free to fire LRM for dmg and assists. If some pesky lights break through or try to flank you are fast enough and have the weaponary to skare them away or kill them. But don't be a noob and chase them too far if they outrun you. In the main battle stage the best thing you can do is to be a Pain In The Ass(tm). Meaning helping bros that are engaged in battle out by plastering their adversarys with missiles to destroy their amour and stagger them with constant screen shake. You have enough enough firepower and speed to brawl alone but its always better if you're able to tag team someone. If your mech or the situation runs to hot, use your speed to get behind the nearest cover in order to keep your own ass free from pain AND continue to support your fellow mech warriors with LRM fire. Your optimum fighting distance obviously is arround 200m. Your actual fighting distance will of course vary due to terrain and speed and weaponry of your target, but if possible try to go arround 200m. At this range you can use LRM and sSRM for the true Pain In The Ass(tm) style, because the LRM will do full damage and the SSRM will actually hit most of the time. Weapon Usage Only alpha or link fire if the situation calls for it, e.g. cherry red torsos, your in the back of someone or have limited amount of time on target. Most of the time you will want to chain fire. Start LRMs while closing in, then switch to chainfire SSRM, with - when you are far enough - LRM at the end of the cycle. If you can manage this you are a good PITA and your enemies will throw curses and insults at you for the constant screenshake and damage they have to endure. Remember you can fire your LRMs over obstacles so they can hit over low buildings / hills / corners when your SSRMs can not. Use this to keep the pressure up. TAG Since you are quite fast and crows somehow are really endurable you're painfully hard to kill since you dont have to slow down to aim. And with this we are getting to the TAG. You should be able to have quite a large amount of time on target with your tag, which will hopefully prompt the easily exited ( and sadly sissys) LRM Boats of your team to unleash their loads on your target for even more damage and screen shake (and earning you crazy amounts of cbills and XP). Closing Notes Be reminded though, thats you are unable to deal targeted damage to specific areas / comonents of enemy mechs, which can be quite anoying if you just want to DESTROY THIS STUPID SIDE TORSO WHICH HAS BEEN CHERRY RED FOR THE LAST 20 SECONDS!!!!1rghlfasft ( I got my SERIOUSLY?!! achivement in this mech) This is btw another reason why its better to team up, so your ally can take opportunity of all this armour you have shredded away. Also beware of the Arch Enemy of every fast moving mech: indestrcutable, knee high, sometimes invisble obstactles randomly popping up to stop your movement for good. Pros: - relativley fast - cool if not used stupid - high sustained dps - high alpha - screen shake - great team support - strong alone also - usable at all ranges and in almost every situation Cons - you're screwed when out of ammo - you can't controll on which component your dmg lands - no pinpoint Tell me what you think or how to improve. Thanks for reading.
