I had the 440 core version of that one Ski... great card for MWO. Cheap and can easily handle last gen game graphics.
My main PC is still rocking a 550TI and get this my backup PC, the one I've been gaming on lately, has a 8800 GT *ghetto ownage*
well not to brag, but since I model alot: I run 2 GTX 960 ti's Doesn't really matter since I usually burn a pair up every year! damn animations
I have an r9-290 Vapor-X, love this card and love the clocks I am able to achieve with this cooler. MWO doesn't even make this thing turbo past 800 mhz (with v-sync 60hz). But for other games I run the card at 1250 core, 1400 ram. It can do 1300 core, 1650 ram but for core that takes a bit more voltage that I don't like for 24/7 usage and OC for ram nets like zero gain for games. I only ever run 1300/1650 for benching runs. EDIT: My max clocks net me same or better performance in games as a 780ti (at stock turbo speeds). Where 780ti and especially 980 crush my card is benchmarks where the 780tis extra horses really kick in and the higher clocks of 980 wreck the 290.
Card is a GTX 780, resolution is 1920 x 1080 (native) Confused, I was running on a standard 24" monitor and MWO was reporting usually between 45 and 110 fps running on very high, just upgraded to a Acer Prediator 27" 144Hz G-Sync job and MWO is reporting a steady 59.8 fps, running full screen, V-Sync is not enabled, the refresh rate is correct and G-Sync is enabled in the Nvidia control panel. The Heaven Benchmark is still averaging around 85 fps, any ways MWO is looking lovely and is running very smoothly, I might now be able to see half the things that 887894 is shooting at!
I feel ya. My main gaming rig is running a GTX 560 Ti My back-up (ex-gaming rig) sported a GTS 8800. Which i replaced for a 550 when MWO became unplayable. Currently trying to figure out Nvidias numbering logic whilst looking for a new card to replace the 560,...
Look for MSI's Twin Frozr cards. Got the 7700 version on my rig (will look this up this evening) and am digging it.
I'm running a Galaxy 1GB GT430. I don't think I could use a crappier card, but it is all I have!! My cpu is capped at 4gb ram, a Q6600 processor, and no where else to grow! I'm using a stock mobo from a Dell Optiplex 330. WOOT!! I usually end up closing all other programs just to get ~20fps during CW. I have trouble running lights and brawling effectively. I do have an option to buy a GTX 760 for relatively cheap...but then I'll have to upgrade my power supply as well...
Hmmm, today i got the Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo III for (almost) free from a friend - he never got time for the upgrade, and now he doesn't need it anymore. So well, not ever thought about replacing my VGA Coolers, but this Beast seems to be worth the work. Maybe i should replace the reference blower of the g.card in my Desktop Machine (Zotac GTX 970) and do some heavy OC! Performance-wise it should be even more powerful than the popular predecessor: Anyone here had experience before with these current Coolers (http://www.arctic.ac/de_en/products/cooling/vga.html)? . . . btw.. i remember - almost 10 yrs ago i actually did have a vga cooler replacement with a product from arctic! How could i forgot - It was this one on my once good old X1950 Pro, hahaa:
Asus Nvidia GTX 750 Ti I got it a while ago for $113 on Amazon... The newer GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is actually better and similar price range...
I'm trying to persuade myself that my next invoices don't get re-invested in the new version of this puppy
About one year ago I jumped from this: (Asus ENGTX260) to this: (Asus Strix GTX 970) At first I wanted to upgrade to a 4GB GTX 960 but the price of the better 960 was about 250€ and I got the 970 for 270€ in a Sale+Asus Cashback. Nearly overpovered for MWO, but who cares
