    This is my take on what this platform could do well. It is untested (I do not own Sparky). But it is what i would mount and use to be as effective as possible vs recent clan builds.

    "Surge-slow"



    This is a slower but better jumping version that doesn't make use of terro-fibrous trash armor.

    Please leave feedback if you own sparky and have tested.

    Solid build. I rated this four stars instead of five because it's a little too hot and the weapon layout's a bit iffy. The side torso hard points are higher on the mech, so I like putting the ERLL's there for peeking. Plus, having all your medium lasers grouped to your arms is much better for dealing with light mechs around your ankles.
    If you downgrade to an XL 325, you can also shave some leg armor off for one more heat sink.

    I'd would prefer to keep the 350 engine, and drop a heatsink for two more jump jets. Losing one heat sink doesn't drastically change your damage in most cases because this is a peekaboo mech, not a stand up brawler. You'll have the speed to break off and cool down when you're overheating.

    The two extra jump jets however, add a lot more mobility, and I think add a lot more to the build.

    My take on the build. Tested it for a half-dozen drops last night. Works very well with LL lvl5 cooldown.

    "that's far too many Jump Jets!" one might say, but it comes in handy to jump 40m up to hit a target or to navigate terrain.

    Gave it a 4, but its really anywhere from 4-5... very nice build... personally i'm running with an xl335 and more DHS, but the ERLL are super important (esp after the beam time has gone down to 1.25).

    Also, I find it odd that no one has posted a standard variant yet... so i'll just leave this here:

    My current build after playing tons of games in 5 MLas + LPLas @ XL 325. Now I prefer this one because of the added range and punch.

    @Aylek --- I'm currently running mine the same way, except that I drop one JJ and half a ton of armor for an extra DHS. It's a nice combination of weapons though . . .

    Just told myself 'f*ck it!' and shelled out for a new engine for my beloved Sparky...



    This is as optimised as it gets for this build, at least in my opinion.

    This thing got even better after the most recent quirk pass on Dec 1, 2015. Sparky loves the LLas and MLas equally now (Energy Heat Generation -15%)! Sadly I can only vote once...
