Ridiculously low range for an 85 ton mech, would get half way shredded just closing. Also, SSRM are only good against mechs under about 40 tons, which evidently makes up like 10-20% of the que.
I see another Problem with this build: Heat Production. Even with 22 DHS you will overheat extremely fast if you fire both Weapontypes together. You can replace the SRMs by LRM5s to take down Mechs which your MPlas can't reach.
The game evolved into brawling and this build is actually good now (I was doing fine back then too tbh, was harder to get close, but the times you were able too you could destroy the enemy team), just needs to match the quirks : Energy Weapon Range10% SRM/6 Cooldown15% SRM/6 Range15% Fits quite good on this, especially the range on MPL is nice to have with module as well.
