Fun build, I run all 6 lasers chained on #1, then have all six on #2 for a sweet 54 damage Alpha strike(snipe:) pretty easy to pull off two of them!, just takes a few seconds of cooling...

Running the lasers chained can put out allot of firepower and you'll stay cool, hit that alpha on already weak targets.(can take out a light pretty quickly)

Works well and is easy to use. You can also try switching to some ER Lasers if you want more range.

    Hope you like it,

I have tried the ER LLas version, that is fun also. Basically fire away whenever you get a nice shot until you overheat. Restart, and fire again. Chances are, that mech is in no shape to fight you after you shot them twice in the torso... if they are still alive that is.

Maximize the benefit of being a 5S with that special dual AMS system, also a BAP for those annoying lights. (if you have 360 detection just wail til they circle you to the front, scan with your LLas cluster, and BOOM! That or at least you see parts flying)

I have tried the 6 PPC version also, but this one is more fun. That, and 3F is better for any non-AMS build due to the better degree of movement.

Thanks! I wanted to post in this topic actually, but I saw a "120 days warning" when I try to post. Was thinking that maybe I should not post in threads with the warning.

No go ahead and post in any thread you wish. Yeah I do see that warning. I will find a way to disable it I suppose.

EDIT: Found it and disabled it. No more 120 days old warning.

Cant help feeling this is the kind of build that was targeted by the new group fire heat rule. Try it now and it prolly wont just be the enemy going BOOM!!

Is this the case? This build looks interesting, but is it still viable?

    Anyone ran it lately?

I did run it about 2 weeks ago, just to try it out again after so long. Did alright, I put 2 LLs on each weapon group, (M1 left arm, M2 right arm, M3 torso), and chain fired each group. The main point to keep in mind is not to go for quick damage by firing lots of lasers at once, as you'll overheat way too fast with the penalties. Simply sit back and keep those things blasting into a target one at a time. Not only does it give a really nice constant DPS, but it also freaks the enemy 'Mechs out, alot like dakka builds do. They just can't take the heat . . .
(It also works great for blinding pilots. Just focus your fire near their cockpit, and they won't see a thing past all the blue! ;))

That said, I only ran the build twice that day, and I think the best round I had of those two was about 700 dmg and a few kills. Not bad, but not exceptional either. I would prefer 5 larges in a 5M or Misery any day, as it packs 2-4 more DHS, and keeps a LLaser in the Center Torso for those Zombie situations that always seem to come up.

So yeah, this build still works if you can keep a well-disciplined trigger finger. But if you're one of those types that tends to go W+M1 all day non-stop, I would reconsider running this!
