Damn, I was just about to look into this variant myself. It should do very nicely but I'm uncertain of the ammo count as the clan AC's fire a helluva lot of lead.
Ok, you might be right bout the Ammo Count. So i just updated it.. I was just playing with the new Clan Stuff in smurfy, so it was rather a first draft. Now here you have your Ammo.Madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now let's have the epic Battle: Ilya VS this Massacre! Afterthought: Might trade 1ton of Ammo for replacing the Armlasers with ERMLas to get a stronger Alpha! But i guess that doesn`t really matter, coz you have enuff Ammo to Chainsaw Massacre two entire Battles.
Sweet! I've got premium activated (planned it that way to save the 90 days in the clan package for this autumn) for a few weeks before I go on this years vacation so if you have premium too we can do a one vs one or we find someone else and set him up as cameraman.
Gotta say this one rocks. 1st match on the chassis, no basic skills even and got 4 kills 750+ damage. I just swapped out a ton of ammo for 2 small lasers on the arm. May change it back or go 2ml.
Wow! I'm glad that it works for you! I tried to put as much Ammo as i would load for the Ilya Muromet Chainsaw Build. That's IS UAC5 210 Bullets Minimum, because that would be 210 * 5 Damage = 1050 max. Damage. In the Clan Version you have three times more Ammo because of the Burstfire Mode, so 630 Clan UAC Ammo equals 210 IS Clan Ammo. But for most games 540 should suffice and the extra Backuplasers could be handy for some special situtations like defending yourself against Lights.
If you drop the RT torso to a Config B you don't have to take as much penalty (mainly torso turn, you can't OH and there is no missile). You do lose the Energy hardpoint in that case. But the tonnage is swappable so you can have 1xERML instead of 2xERSL. You also can get JJ, maybe strip a bit of armor off the shield arm.
800~ damage in the first match I tested this build. Impressive Blagg, had to say I was a bit skeptical because of all the random builds you post but you definitely got this one right. Nice job!
Ultimate suppression platform. Id prefer JJ instead of the CERSL though. And 630 is a bit on the low side in some games too.
Was just thinking of this for my first ever Clan CW dropdeck... My EBJs are my favorite, but after taking an ACH, an NVA or SCR, and an EBJ, I don't want to spend tooooo much on modules and extra equipment, then I thought of my Clan Wave I preorder Direwhale! Half a Direwhale + an Ilya = TBR Chainsaw! We'll see how this does, but I have high expectations.
