This is sorta theorybuilding, but I had some success on the PTS with a loadout like this. UAC5s are the primary weapon, ERML as backup, and SSRMs (now that they work) for close-up. Worked pretty well!

Don't forget to name your builds appropriately!

Weapons and other customizations (for example active probe) in the title, highest damage first.
For clan mechs, you can swap parts of mechs around so you also need to mention what parts it consists of, in abbreviated form. This case would be [PPPSPPPP].

That helps people searching for builds with certain weapons and such, and makes the site admin happy :D

I enjoyed your build, but three tons of CUAC5 ammo wasn't enough, and the streaks felt like they wanted to be straight SRMS. I swapped to Three SRM 6's which allowed me to fit in another ton of UAC5 ammo and a half ton of SRM ammo.

    A few thoughts:
    - not enough Ammo
    - no BAP, IMO a must-have for streaks
    - no JJs

I would build it like this:

But I had to downgrade to 2x SSRM4, though.

If I would like to combine streaks with a bit of long range capability, I would probably build something like this:

    Also funny: 2x UAC5, 4x SML + 4x SMR4:

I'm running mine with this setup :

Thinking about the 4 small variant one. Or with one UAC10 instead of the dual UAC5 and dual SRM6 insteand of SRM4s.
